I think we have multiple players with franchise potential. A lot of guys with game breaking skill. This team has the potential to become a dominant force in the NHL.
We wish luck to the others in the Rebuilder Cup and we hope we have the squad to go all the way!

Built up a very strong defense for the future, and looks to have the depth on offense needed to contend within the next 2-3 years. Adding Barkov gives us a future elite talent and someone who can lead this team, along with Pietrangelo, to many Stanley Cups in the future, and hopefully a Rebuilder's Cup this year.

The Colorado Avalanche have put together a team that is garbage right now, with less than half of our starting roster having stepped foot in NHL ice. But we see a team destined for greatness in the future.
On the top line, we have the young but proven Gabriel Landskog and Matt Duchene with 2012 top prospect Teuvo Tarvainen. On the second line, we have a proven 2C in Ryan O'Rielly and two promising youngsters in Tangradi and Etem. On the third line, three two-way forwards, Wingels proving it at NHL level, Philips and Wilson in junior. With the 4th line and healthy scratches, Stanley Cup champion Jordan Nolan, youngster Mark Olver, and some veterens.
On defense, one of the most talented young D-men in the NHL, Cam Fowler paired with a two-way defenseman selected 7th overall in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft, Mathew Dumba. On the second pair, Falk, a young NHL defensemen, paired with the veteran Ed Jovanovski to show the young guys the ropes. Another vet, Johnny Oduya mans the 3rd pair with great prospect Sami Vatanen.
In net, our starter, Semyon Varlamov is a young star in the NHL. Our backup, Josh Harding is relatively old for our team at 28 but will still be here for a while, as he is capable of being a starter himself. Our third goalie makes sex. Nuff said.
We in Detroit believe that our future lineup will dazzle audiences for years to come. We have a terrifying top 6, killer defense, and starting in net is already a playoff veteran. We have star power in star prospects such as Nathan Mackinnon, Vladmir Tarasenko, Ryan Murray, and Mikael Grandlund. We have major depth as already NHL-proven center Matthieu Perrault is on the fourth line! We wish all of our competitors luck in the playoffs, but they would be unlucky to face us!

Vote over Rangers! On offense, we feel our top 6 of Malkin/Crosby/Tanguay/Kunitz/Neal/Umberger is able to hold its own with any in the league. It boasts the two best players in the world, as well as a great mixture of top wingers. Our bottom 6 we also feel is very strong, and Sutter/Cooke/Dupuis/Adams/Downie/Glass should easily be able to dominate the Rangers bottom 6 of Beagle/Halpern/Boyes/Bickell/Cleary/Arnott. Arnott, Boyes, and Cleary are all older, and well past their prime.
On Defense, we feel we also hold an advantage, especially after the Rangers lost Josh Gorges. Letang/Johnson/White/Orpik should be able to hold its own against Staal/MDZ/Stralman/McD, and our bottom pair of Demers/Niskanen is better than Bickel/Braun. In the net, the Rangers have one of the top 3 netminders in the league, but but the Penguins also have an incredible goalie in Kiprusoff, who has a team in front of him better than one he has played behind for years. Our depth, top end talent, and defense will help us beat the Rangers.

i didn't feel like looking up rosters, i knew the other west teams better then hawks and wild so i just didn't vote in that series
well no offense but if people vote without looking up rosters, there no point in doing all this...
On a side note, are happy to have made the playoffs and to have almost upset #1 seed. We still have a young team, so we're looking forward to next year.

I think the Pens and I have pretty similar teams. However, the Pens don't really have a shutdown pairing as both of their top pairing dmen are much more offensive than defensive. While they make a great offensive pairing, I don't think they'd be capable of stopping my first line of Ovechkin, Datsyuk, and Erat. I think that gives me a significant edge here. My third line is a better scoring line and his is better defensively. I still have great defensive forwards on my roster though.

The Capitals have done a very good job with their roster, so I'm not going to bash it. However, we feel our top 6 will simply be to much for the Capitals to handle, and should be able to outscore the Capitals. We easily have the best 1/2 punch down the middle, along with a great 3rd line center, as well as some very good wingers, giving Crsoby/Malkin the kind of support they have not had for a long time. The Caps have a very offensive 3rd line, while we have a more classic third line, mixing offense, grit, and defense. However, this is the playoffs, and you need players who are capable of grinding it out. Our grit should give us a huge advantage. On defense, we feel we easily have the best offensive D in the league, allowing us to outscore our opponents. However, we also feel it can play solid defense, especially backed by Mikka Kiprusoff, who we feel gives us an advantage over the Caps.
would like to thank the two people that voted for me!
But the Canucks made a great team so I'm not sad at all that we lost. Well played Canucks, and good luck in later rounds. If you don't beat the Sharks I hope everyone in your social life disowns you.
