I predict GDT and general tournament threads will dissolve into Can/Swed/Fin/USA/Rus fanbases calling each other names and casting disparaging comments on each other... happens each and every year. The WJHC section on HF shows internet discussion forums at its worse more often than not.
USA's being overrated.. Dont see them winning a medal this year but who knows..
Most years I agree.
On paper, the U.S. is the 3rd (or 4th) best team. On the big ice, it could difficult for BOTH North American teams. What the U.S. has going for them... the need to redeem themselves after last year's mess. As I said before...
G - Canada
S - Finland
B - USA
4th - Russia
5th - Sweden
It's arrogant because you all got so insulted by somebody's prediction.
Anyway, I'm going with:
Yet as an American how would you feel if someone made a thread predicting the US to finish dead last and get relegated? It's just his prediction right? Wrong. Anybody with even the tiniest ounce of knowledge about this tourney knows the US aren't going to be relegated (please don't anybody bring up the horror show that was last year for the US ), so if you were to read that it wouldn't take you long to decipher what is an obvious troll attempt.
Even had the OP predicted a fourth place finish, it would have been a bold pick, but for him to rank a Canadian team in 6th, in a lockout year no less, he was obviously looking to get something started. 'Nuff said.

ONE guy said it was obvious Canada would win gold. The rest of the posts are basically laughing at predicting Canada will finish 6th. Which honestly, is pretty funny and an obvious troll job.
People spend so much time on Canadian arrogance on these boards but I find the auto-hate some have for Canada to be far more prominent.
OH! Lots of people predicting Canada, the tournament favourite, to win Gold! Such arrogance!!
I think I'm going to start commenting on "non-Canadian jealousy" at every opportunity.
Canada has the best looking roster on paper, and that would probably be agreed to by a majority of neutral observers. I'd love to hear an explanation on how Canadians are arrogant for predicting a gold medal while being a tourney favorite.
