Sorry about that Jewel, it's the whole lockout situation that has me upset. Realistically there's very little we can do as fans, and not going to one AHL game wouldn't have much of an impact. Just sayin.

One league is locked out, not all of mlse. So fans are pissed about the NHL only. Makes sense.

Any news is Kadri's playing today? I really wish this was a 7pm game.

Last I heard both Kadri and Ziggy will be game time decisions although I wouldn't get my hopes up. Gardiner will still need some time.

For those who have been nervous about the offense this year:
Quote:
Brendan Gallagher is Hamilton’s lone player with more than 15 points (17) while Toronto has one with 30 (Aucoin), two more over 20 (Kostka and Kadri) and a total of six with 15 or more

I completely agree, And I should clarify myself that I in know way think that boycotting our teams would actulley work.

The point I was trying make is, You see and hear a lot about people not wanting to spend another dollar on the NHL even here in Toronto. Then I see the A.C.C sold out for the AHL with the affiliate of NHL team owned and operated under the same umbrella. It shows me that the majority of hockey(Leaf) fans don't feel that way.

To be fair it hardly takes a majority of Leafs fans to fill the ACC

Fair point, But I think it could be indicative of how most of the fanbase feels if there is still a sell at the A.C.C for an AHL game.

Maybe I'm reading too much into it.

Anyway, Enough lock-out talk. I'm sorry I brought it up.

Kadri is game time decision 4 #Marlies he did take warm up and will likely play with D'amigo/Frattin if in. Scrivens starts.

Burke likes Kadri's play, likes that he drives other teams crazy, but said that "dallas had to straighten him out". Wtf. The way he talks seems a little reserved about kadri. Talks more about other players, just mentions kadri most of the time. Just an observation.

Tinordi takes a horrible penalty and Aucoin drills it home three seconds into the powerplay

Burke doesnt want him hyped up, imo he is just managing expectations.

That makes sense, but it also makes him seem less excited about kadri's play, which as of late has been steller.

Blacker is playing very, very well today. Maybe he'll start turning a page. I think he's a future NHLer for sure, maybe even top-4.

The way Abbott is shifty along the boards reminds me of St. Louis sometimes. Don't get me wrong, I don't even think Abbott will even be an NHLer, but his shiftyness along the boards occasionally looks brilliant.

I really feel for Colborne, I had a similar wrist problem to the one he recovered from when I played(years back). Burke summed it up perfectly, you can't even handle a puck until it's 100% perfect because of all the movements could set you back again. He also said that Colborne couldn't start handling a puck until the end of September...

Not making excuses for the guy, but I like what he 'can' be and I liked him a lot at the NHL level.

Yep.

It easy to get disenchanted with Colborne when you look at his point total this year, But if you go back 13 months before his hand/wrist injuries he was one of better center man prospects in the AHL.

I don't know if he'll make it, But patience is key. Especially with a 22 year old.
