Candidate for worst post of the year. Seriously do you even watch Blues hockey? Kane isn't a bad player but it's like Stewart is almost worthless to people on HF just because of last year. Stewart has had 2 28 goal season along with a 64 point season and a 55 point season. Kane has one 30 goal season and he's only broken 50 points once.

Kane will be the better player, but to say Chris Stewart is a shadow of his former self shows that you only look at stat sheets and not even ones of this year lol. Then LOL at your last sentence. Perron and Stewart for Kane is hilarious.

If the Blues add a pick, I pull the trigger on this. Steen is exactly what Winnipeg needs.

How many 50 goal scorers should the NHL have in the future according to HF?

First off people must not see what Stewart has been doing this year...He is playing as good as he ever has...And wow is Steen underrated on these boards...I would not make this trade from the Blues perspective...People need to realize Stewart is not playing anywhere near how he did last year...And as of right now Steen is the best player in this deal.

If the Blues were in a rebuild mode then sure I would make the trade but right now Steen is the best player in the deal and Stewart has been great this year and the Blues are in a win now mode.

Right? How many players have scored 50 recently? How many of those guys are super elite talents? I'm pretty sure Kane doesn't have a Getzlaf level playmaker feeding him either.

Nothing has changed from my thoughts here:

I would think that Stewart and Steen fit in the Blues current plans better as the Blues are legitimate cup contenders now, and that Kane fits into the Jets plans better where the org is hoping to build a team to be a contender in a few years.

Quoting the quote for accuracy.

This doesn't make STL better this year, it makes them worse. Replacing 2 productive players with 1 is not a win now move. It's obviously very tempting for the future, but I don't think they want to go down that road. For Winnipeg, I just don't think they have any reason to do it at all.

Not enough to move Kane IMO.
