I don't know what's going on with Alexis Sanchez. He's even missed an empty net from 2 ft away.

At the end he didn't even want to shoot anymore.

Real Madrid look great today. Really pressing Barcelona hard and not giving them much possession in their half.

El Clasico is the greatest sporting event in modern sports. Just crazy.

50/50 handball call here but I'd rather not see those called so I like it.

Varane dominant so far.

Nothing is getting past him. He's been ridiculous.

Yeah, Varane has been amazing.

...And Carvalho has been awful.

Wow Varane again catching Fabregas and tackling at full speed!
Barca clearly better this half

Crowns Varane's game.
Barca should have killed the game a long time ago though.

Punto Pelota reports that Messi had a confrontation with Arbeloa in the Bernabeu parking lot.

Midget starting a fight

Seems legit.

Anyway, I thought it was a good game. Antics were down to a minimum which is always a good thing. Iniesta was on another level today and has been the best player this season, Varane as everyone said was great and probably the best Madrid player.

Alves was great for barca as well. Xavi and messi not so much.

Missed the 2nd half so I'll convince myself in thinking Real Madrid were great throughout. Barcelona should be happy walking away with a 1-1 draw. Still think RM will walk away with it though.

Barça should have easily won after that 2nd half, our fault.

Varane was ridincolous

There's no evidence to support Messi had a bust up with Arbeloa. Punta Peltoa is primo example of the Spains classy journalism.

Anyhow, both teams could have scored more goals. Ronaldo could have scored 2 himself and Xavi and Pedro both missed 2 as well. Fair result I suppose. Not a fan of Xabi & Arbeloa love tapping Messi in the face.

Varane had a great game indeed, if he's the future of France/Real Madrid, then the future is real bright.

Yeah slowly, France is building from the defense and midfield.
Sakho, Mbiwa and Varane as CBs, that's exciting. Digne on the left, maybe Corchia on the right?
In midfield, Pogba, M'Vila, Sissoko, Matuidi, Capoue, Cabaye... that's pretty good.
Problem is in attack, where as of now, Benzema seems really alone as constant danger. Menez, Ben Arfa and Nasri have failed to become what they could have been.

Do you think France could benefit from playing with 2 ST's instead of just 1 ?

I'm a big 4-4-2 lover.
Giroud/Benzema could be nice if we had a good #10 behind them. But Gourcuff might never reach his form back, Nasri is a big no and I'm not sure who will be good enough to take that role.
But if we get midfielders like Pogba, then it might be better to play 4-3-3 to be honest. But for that to work we need impact wide players, and the only one close to that is Ribery.
