I've posted this many times but got ignored.

At the time of Machacek's leaving he was tied for second place for the season with winning the Hardest Working IceCap Player most often. How toxic is that?

And, HC is right. Even IF Spencer was a toxic player, he can only affect a team so much. In the end these are players who are playing as a job and trying to earn the big bucks that they are so close to getting (relative to the rest of the world).

If you want to know why the IceCaps did so bad it's pretty obvious and easy to find:
*lost pretty much all of their defensive-core (Postma, Meech, Festerling, Kulda, Redmond) and replaced it with rookies (Melchiori, Sol, O`Neill, Chiarot)
*both goalies having bad years relative to their last
Eddie started well below 0.900 this season but just recently pulled it up to 0.908; he was 0.911 last season.
Dekanich is 0.897... a far cry from his 0.920-0.940 back-to-back 3 seasons in 2008-11
*no puck luck offensively: about half way through the season Burmistrov, Gagnon, Maxwell, Maceneaur, Machacek, Jaffaray, King, Klingberg, and Whitmore were all well below their normal SH% (I think at one point Maxwell had over 100 shots and like 2 goals). That's a big hit when you see those were the teams top producers even at the time. McCambridge said at one point they were tracking high percentage scoring chances and they were more-often-than-not dominating there but still losing.

Combine those three factors and you are not going to win.

During the game they were talking about Lowry:
They said Lowry is looking better every game
McCambridge apparently said he's giving lots of minutes to Lowry as he seems to be playing the game well, although he needs to fill out his frame a bit

2. STJ Saponari, (1) (Lowry, Ramsey), 2:01

Saponari with his first goal, Lowry with his first point.

For those wondering how the goal happened.
It was a 3-on-2 with Lowry carrying the puck.
Lowry tried to centre it to Kubalik, but a Portland player blocked the pass, but it hit the Portland goalie and Saponari got the rebound.

Too early to call it a streak? 2 points in 2 games for Big Saps!

Started off on the LW but now has been playing C between Klingberg and Saponari.
McCambridge seldom keeps lines the same back-to-back due to having a whole lot of players on the roster right now.

Thanks for the info. I haven't watched an ice caps game in a while.

I like how Melchiori has the smarts to close the gap, forcing the player to chip it in, but then the wheels to beat the chipper to the puck

This is NOT the same IceCaps team I watched a month or so ago. Lots of hustle and some nice plays. Like the look of Lowry out there - seems to fit in playing with men as opposed to boys. Good to see.

They look really good. Klingberg seems great with the puck, almost Burmistrov like. O'Dell looks pretty good. Lowry looks surprisingly good, great on faceoffs, carries the puck well, and good defensively. Doesn't look out of place at all.

Was very surprised how Lowry didn't look out of place at all, also liked the look of Saponari from the little I saw. Thanks for sharing Hammer

CanadianJet......Trouty.......Come out come out where ever you are

I know the season has sucked but if you get a chance to weigh in on how the team is looking as of late the boys from the board would appreciate some first hand knowledge.

Guys are playing well obviously.Lowry is getting better game by game.

Melchiori has been great as of late.Same with Dex.

Mouillerat has been quite the pickup.I honestly believe he will get a contract wit the Jets over the summer.

Thanks For the post.

Glad you are at least getting the effort you are paying your hard earned money for....losing always sucks but I can deal with it unless my team seems like they aren't trying or don't give a ****, that drives me crazy.

Glad our friends are getting to see some wins and really glad Lowry is fitting in.

Finally winning a few at home is great.Kubalik had a decent game tonight.

All this team is missing is a PP QB and some secondary scoring.

Any prediction's for tonight against WBS? Final home games at Mile One and my guess is two losses, pretty well gave up on this season a month ago. Big changes should be made in the upcoming months. Patty O'sullivan to the rock

I don't know how long I'll be able to stream this but we'll see. I'm supposed to be going to some party later. I'll see if we can leave after the game is over.
