With the potential Burmi and Antro injuries, it's possible both of them are on a flight to Winnipeg this week...

I meant both of Cormier and Macenauer on flights to Winnipeg...Bobby Mac tweeted Burmi is still out a couple more weeks, Antropov has not played with Barys since December 23rd...

Wonder exactly how far Burmi is.

He was skating here and was apparently ready to practice in St. John's this week. Should be good to go by the 19th ish me thinks.

EDIT

Of course I say that knowing nothing about the injury or rehab.

Be interesting to see what St. John's lineup is like for this weekend...Machacek, Postma, Redmond are going to be WPG TC and perhaps Cormier, Meech, Macenauer as well...

It's a big chance for O'Neill and Telegin in particular..

Not sure on St. John's current lines, but could be something like...

Telegin - O'Dell - Klingberg
Jaffray - Maxwell - Sawada
Mouillierout - Macenauer (or ??? or rush back Albert?) - Clark
Schnell - Gregoire - Kaunisto

Injured : RW King, C Albert, LW Weller, LW Tremblay, C Gagnon

O'Neill - Ramsay
Melchiori - Arsene
Sol - Chiarot

Pasquale
Dekanich

St. John's depth is gone...

Albert is ruled out for this weekend.Weller is gone for a few more weeks.

Wouldn't suprise me if Brian Sutherby is back.Might get an invite to Jets camp, was skating with Perry Pearne all summer.

Yeah, if Antropov and Burmistrov turn out to be hurt, that leaves the Jets with only 13 forwards in camp, unless the call up Macenauer as well. If they do that, the IceCaps definately need to bring somebody in, since even with recalling Kaunisto that would leave with just 11 forwards for the weekend...

The Telegram has an article about the roster.

It says that Chris Carrozzi is being called up to replace Dekanich who has a hamstring issue.

Josh Lunden is coming up from Las Vegas.

The Caps would rather not call up Sides, Kaunisto, Ezekiel or Marto from the Eagles as they have a short bench as it is.

rather not call up? is there an alternative solution?

I love the IceCaps but I honestly hope and expect from Jets management to not have any regards on that. The Jets HAVE to be first priority at any time. And so has the IceCaps to be priority between the IceCaps and Eagles.

It appears according eliteprospects the IceCaps have added veteran AHL defenseman Richard Petiot on a tryout as well as Josh Lundun from Las Vegas as previously mentioned.

Petiot should be a decent enough depth player for them. Once made the Kings roster out of camp, but a late TC injury ended most of that season, and injuries completely derailed any chance of the NHL after that, but a reliable safe veteran that should help the blueline that'll be filled with youngsters like O'Neill, Chiarot, Sol right away...

I expect Petiot to be here all year and take Postma's spot.

Coach said they track chances and the Caps have out-chanced their opponents in two thirds of their games. They just can't finish.

I don't want to see the Jets move up the depth chart this year if they don't have to. The lockout has artificially inflated the teams that pushed their depth charts down to the AHL, and has put my caps in a tough position to make the playoffs.
Keep them a team, and leave whoever you can out here for the rest of the season, and if they can pull off a strong turnaround, then we know we have something really special waiting under the wings of the old Thrashers.

I fully expect 1 or 2 people to stay up in the main Club. Our core team is by and large still together. Bogosian still has his wrist injury, so that open D position will likely be filled by Postma. I don't see any forwards staying up unless they really impress (Machacek the likely one to do so).

I think the Caps were expecting to be playing without Postma for most of the year when they built, so when they got off to their hot start, having him around was more of a "bonus" than an expectation. Based on how well he played in the world juniors, they might try throwing Trouba in for a few games until Bogo's good to go, kind of like they did with Scheifele's trial run last season.
They may bring Postma up regardless, but I think the Jets organization is better off playing/showing off/trying their "picks" rather than call ups.

Trouba won't be playing because he has to drop out of the NCAA just to try out for the Jets and they did not extend a camp invite to them.

I'd say that defence have 4 positions solidified with Bogosian currently injured:
Enstrom-Byfuglien
Hainsey - XX
Stuart - YY
ZZ
with Clitsome, Redmond, and Postma at camp already, and Meech a maybe depending on injury. This means you will most likely only have one of Meech, Redmond and Postma until Bogosian comes back.

I'd say that forwards have 10 positions solidified with no current injuries:
Ladd-Little-Wheeler
Kane-Jokinen-Wellwood
Ponikarovsky-Burmistrov-Antropov
AA-Slater-BB
CC
with Miettinen, Thorburn, Machacek, Maceneaur, and Scheifele at camp.
If Scheifele is not ready you will probably get Maceneaur back, if he is I'm still not even sure you'd get Machacek back

If I was a betting man, I'd expect Maceneaur and one of Meech/Redmond back from camp and then the other when Bogosian returns.
Also, expect to lose Cormier and Klingberg for games here and there as they can be called up without going through waivers and they'll probably have some injuries in a condensed season.

O'Dell makes it 1-0 Ice Caps after 12 seconds quickest goal in franchise history

it's from Klingberg and Chiarot
