NHL rule change
We should petition the NHL for the following rule change:

If you draw a penalty, instead of taking the flower play, you can bank the penalty. You can redeem 2 penalties to negate an opposing flower play, or you can redeem 5 penalties for a penalty shot.

Good idea. This thread will last about as long as the hopes I had that the Rangers would score first though.

I don't like that idea in the slightest. Knowing our luck, someone takes a wicked shot that hits the crossbar and ricochets into our own net.

I really think this would be a great rule to implement. I would like to hear some more opinions on it first, though.

Need some kind of coach's challenge protocol for review.

Case in point is the ludicrous early whistle robbing the Rangers of a goal.

There is a need for a mechanism to overrule incompetence at that level.
To hell with this whole 'the call on the ice must stand'. Why should it stand, if it looks like ********?
