You are naive or very biased if you don't think the Canadians have played dirty over the years.
I often find myself embarassed by the players like Jenner, and Cormier. Our constant parade to the penalty box is a dead giveaway that we play dirty.
Not excited by Yak's performance, I thought RNH would get more points considering his opponents and the fact that he played amazing in the NHL.

Seems to me there have been referees on the ice every time they have played.
People complaining about a team being dirty are just looking for an excuse for their no show performance.

I know that the broadcast schedule was determined beforehand, but how can TSN show the CAN-GER game three times and the RUS-SVK game once? The latter was exponentially more entertaining than the former.

Because TSN is Canadian and they are also pimping their Pay-Per-View thing online
I don't think there was anything dubious or unfair in what Yakupov was quoted as saying.
The Jenner hit was in very poor taste and its predictable it would be a talking point among opposing teams.
It might be just another "huge hit" in some eyes but it's ultimatley put the entire team in a bad light. Not to mention making things a little bit tight(er) when filling out the roster(s).
This edition hasn't shown me any indication of any sort of "super team".
And in order to give themselves a better chance they should work on cleaning up their discipline level. Big time.

Aside from the obvious answer(Canadian network broadcasting in Canada).
The Svk/Rus game was more entertaining?
The Slovaks sat back in their zone the entire game, and the Russians spent the whole night trying to force passes through the middle. The score was closer, but the style of hockey was as dull and sludgy as it gets.
Canadians do play dirty.. But more than anything they are bullies. I have zero issue with what Yakupov has to say at all. And you know the kid likes to just stir the pot anyways. It's refreshing there are still young players out there who can speak their mind and not be so obtuse all the time. That being said, I hope our boys crush them, cleanly .
Agreed. If you're basing them on this tournament, Gally is a flat out bust. He was one of US' worst players IMO
Maybe it would be a good idea to reserve judgement until he's played a few real tournament games; that same metric of judging based on the pre-tournament would suggest RNH was pretty average.
Galchenyuk is looking like a beast in the 1st against Russia. Maybe you and liquor watched some other player.

Sorry, but Germany isnt Russia. And Galchenyuk isnt Yakupov.
You would think the Germans would be embarrassed to be this bad.
Why even show up at all if you can't accomplish simple things like a line change without screwing it up.

Bad teams are bad because they do the little things poorly:
If the German's are capable of producing a player like Draisaitl, they must be doing something right.

Ask the actual US team fans which actually watched both games completely and they'd tell you that he was by far the most talented player in both exhibition matches but more so the first game.
Saying that he was the worst is simply not being realistic at all at this point.
