not a fan of them releasing Larkin, but others know better than I...but I was a fan of having an Italian on the team...

Just wait a bit, Gianluca Curcuruto looks great this year, and has a way cooler name, even if he isn't actually Italian.

Based on each player's stints in Columbus, I'd say the Springfield fans have it right. Tough for the team, though, to not recognize a guy with any awards while the guy is recognized as a league all-star.

I am not a fan of the Larkin release. I am hoping that the Jackets sign him this off-season or the Falcons give him an AHL deal. I like his size and shot.

Seeing the JAM discussion, he did not win forward of the year or any other award because he is immature and all about himself, chirps too much, takes stupid penalties and is inconsistent. Again, if he can grow up he has a chance at an NHL career.

See, I'm not a fan of this. How could you possibly know that?

Falcons win again. 4-3. Jenner scored again. Also Machacek seems to be a great addition for the Falcons.

I'm also excited that Chaput is heating up again. All I really know is the stats though. Any Falcons fans want to comment on how he has been playing?

Springfield finishes 2nd Overall in the Eastern Conference. Will face Manchester for their 1st round matchup. (4-1-1 vs. Manchester in the RS)

Being around him, seeing how he plays, and I have been given information at times. You can not be a fan of it as much as you want. Are you around to be able to counter my assessment?

Thanks to Fro and SuperGenius for the backup.

First 2 game of the series are Saturday and Sunday at home. I will be missing them to be in Columbus for the Jackets reg. season finale. Come say Hi if you would like. Just look for a female in the Kubalik jersey.

I wasn't trying to discount you as reliable because you are. I trust your word on Falcons players very greatly, but I am not a fan of calling out players for being selfish unless you are in the room or personally know the guy. And No, I am not able to counter your assessment, but do you have backup for it to make it more believable other than pulling up some of his penalties, fights, chirps, etc?

People that know him have said he thinks he is better than everyone. That coupled with the fact he has been benched for his behavior are red flags. I have never had an issue with JAM, other than his play. I am basing this off of what I see and what sources tell me.

Sorry if I came off as rude, not my intention. I will be the first to admit I can come off that way in text.

Nice piece on Brad Larsen

http://www.masslive.com/sports/index...ch_brad_2.html

Of interest the description of the teams work ethic. Sounds so much like how the CBJ are described. Bodes well for the future that the message remains the same through out.

Really solid foundation building in SPR.

Glad the Falcons are doing well. Prout and Johansen will add to the mix.

Congrats to the Falcons - bring home the hardware! Taking out the Kings' AHL affiliate would be a nice way to start the playoff run.

Edit: found a video of the game-winner from last night:

Go get 'em, Falcons!

Curious about whether there was any hard rules regarding playoff rosters. Johansen and Prout are joining Springfield, while Calvert and Atkinson are not. Would the main reason be that the former two played games in Springfield after the lockout ended while the latter two did not?

I'm guessing there isn't anything in the rules that specifically dictates it one way or the other, as Erixon played games for the Falcons after the lockout and he isn't going there. I'm just curious if it isjust that JD/JK think Prout and Johansen will benefit more than the others.

Weren't they left off the playoff roster even before they signed their new contracts?

That has nothing to do with it.

Both are hurt. Probably don't want to see them get injured.

Contracts don't take effect until the beginning of the new league year (July 1), so having signed an extension makes no difference.
