Of interest the description of the teams work ethic. Sounds so much like how the CBJ are described. Bodes well for the future that the message remains the same through out.

Really solid foundation building in SPR.
That is one of the most important things to be successful, IMO. Having everyone in your organization knowing how they are supposed to play and what is expected of them. They develop faster that way, IMO, and are more ready to contribute when they make it to the NHL team.

OK, I'm still not clear why Erixon wouldn't have been included on the roster, but maybe it was because he was hurt when the roster had to be finalized.

Anyways - for the game at 4 pm today - anyone know of any streams for the game?

Erixon, Atkinson, and Calvert are not eligible for the AHL playoffs because they would require waivers to be AHL eligible. They have exceeded the amount of games played in the NHL before you can be sent down without waivers. Also Calvert and Atkinson are hurt, so that factors too.

And Atkinson and Calvert now have 1-way contracts.

Erixon has not reached the GP threshold for waivers as of yet. I believe he was injured when the AHL deadline was to paper transaction him. Gives him time to heal the bursa sac injury in his ankle.

Are there any highlights of this past weekends games? I saw the first Bass OT goal on this thread, but are there highlights of the games anywhere?

There are more extensive highlights posted in the Kings forum, as Manchester is their AHL team.

Wonder if Larsen is going to get consideration for the Colorado HC job. He spent a lot of his career there.

I would hate to lose him. He seems to have done an excellent job. Been some difficult periods with all the call-ups, but has been able to instill the next man up attitude.

Also seems to have been effective in installing the system used in Columbus, minimizing adjustment when guys have been called up.

IMO he is a valuable asset to the organization.

I don't think the AVs will want another experienced AHL coach.

I have seen his name mentioned as a possible candidate in some peoples minds. I would hope he stays here in Springfield and continues to learn to improve his coaching skills before moving into an NHL job, but he is a good coach who is willing to make hard decisions (a la sitting Cam and JAM for penalty problems) and does not trash his players.

Personally I was hoping to see Larsen up with our big club eventually. Like see Springfield have success and doing a good job of preparing our players. Glad to see they are up 2-0.

I found it amusing during the Nashville game, they showed Springfield up. It seemed like half the crowd was trying to figure out if they should cheer and if so, why.

If any of you wizards know how to find a feed... I don't know how you do it but you were great in the fall/winter.

Springfield losing 2-1. Johansen drew 4 penalties, and Springfield had penalty problems themselves. Any reason why Ford wasn't playing?
