Man is gord miller ever terrible at calling players by the right name. He's screwed up with Galenchenyuk like three times now.

Rakell and Galchenyuk have been standouts this game. Both look ahead of their peers skill-wise

i don't think that's the case usually, but this game is probably the worst i've ever heard from him.

Considering these guys haven't called a game in nearly 8-9 months due to the lockout, I'd give them a mulligan today. Just like NHL players it's going to take a bit of time to get back into it.

Is it me or Galchenyuk seems alone in everyone of his rushes?

His linemates can't keep up. He need higher quality ones

Kinda interesting to watch the TOI breakdown. USA's average shift is around 45 sec, and guys like Galchenyuk and Barber are playing over a minute per shift. Sweden's average is around 35 sec and Sörensen has the longest shifts at 47 on average..

C'mon give him a break...Galchenyuk! Skjei! Gostisbehere! Grzelcyk!?!? Come on, that last one is like a clue for the Jumble! In fact, Miller even tweeted on the subject

You expect tough names at the WJC, but from the US? Gostisbehere, Grzelcyk and Skjei are giving me a headache. #moresmithandjonesplease
Anyways, two period in, and, to me, USA looks like the best team in the tournament, thus far, (I'd rank them USA > Sweden > Canada/Finland). I really like the aggressive way they forecheck, backcheck, challenge shooters and drive to the net. Ryan Hartman looks amazing.

There's gotta be a drinking game for when TSN announcers mention Canadian fathers of American players.

So who gets cut on defense? Being a Sabres/Terriers fan I'm mostly interested in McCabe and Grzelcyk.

Now that they aren't using Galchenyuk on the 1st line not inviting Boucher makes even less ssense. Even if he is one dimensional.

Missed a period. Is Biggs using his size at all? Looked like he got his feet going pretty good on one shift and PK in the first.
