Jones doesn't have Peppers and Idonije in front of him...the plan all along has been for McClellin to get 20-30 snaps a game. Not sure how he was "gifted" a starting job when Izzy has always been the starter.

McClellin going into camp was made starter opposite Peppers ,, he is now the #4 DE option
19th overall picks should be better then struggling #4 DE option
He isn't even good enough to play any snaps in NFL at this point ,, He has been pathetic almost entire season
Reason McClellin gets less snaps then others is unlike those 2 ,, He cant play against the run
McClellin has been utter failure vs Run ,, Even Mark Anderson as a rookie was better vs Run
Jones/Mercilus are every down defenders ,, Jones as I said at draft is another Peppers in style
Guy will be beast for longtime in NFL
Truly sad that a 19th overall pick has been so brutal that he went from gifted starting job in camp to 4th string
Good thing Bears brought back Idonije and Wootton broke out ,, With McClellin as our #2 option all year the Bears would have struggled to win a game
He doesn't play every down like Jones, however he's missed about 3.5 games with injuries this year which is a reason for disparity.
Shea has actually been good vs the run this year in his limited opportunities. He'll never be an edge setting anchor, but that's not why they drafted him. To say Mark Anderson was better as a rookie just shows your ignorance again. In 64 games with the Bears, Anderson had 0 tackles for loss. 0. Mcclellin has 3 in his first 11.5 games.
Also, Mcclellin was never seen as the starting end. Go back to the preseason, I don't believe he started any of the first 3 games. He was brought into be a situational pass rusher like Irvin in Seattle

Sure ,, And Devin Hester has been good in pass attack this year
The concussion part was in response to you saying Shea was pushed to the bench...Wootton has been getting more snaps (rightfully so) but Shea has been out the last four or five games except for Seattle.
