Your turn - go.

Lady is in Phoenix for another residency interview. I've got to sell my old bike (Got a buyer lined up, just have to take it to them). Gotta finish assembling my new bike for riding on Monday to work. Probably a grocery store trip in the future and cleaning up all the bike related junk as to not have an angry fiance Sunday morning

I'm ranked in the top 2% off all SC2 players in North America, so not bad. One of the things I'm most excited about is having a shed-load of extra time to practice on the KR server and attend all of the tournaments in person.

Hopefully it's in Seoul or a decently sized urban area. Not having to pay for car + insurance + fuel and having easy access to public transport + free rent avoiding the usual accompanying high cost of living in such a place is just epic win.

I think I'm going to get my pro dog walker's license. Costs are virtually nil. I calculated profitability at 65 visits with one dog per year at $25 per dog per day.

Annual costs
Permit - $98 + $.52 * #dogs # yearly visits to max of $800
Insurance + bonding + business license = ~$350
Canine first aid class - $45
Parking - $120
Taxes based on income
Gas at ~$4 per gallon (It's $3.55 right now)

The one dog walker I know well does 9 dogs * 21 per dog most weekdays, and she does two runs a day (I don't see her on her second run so I don't know how many dogs she has then.)

I had a real good time when I lived in Seoul. Lots of nightlife and things to do. I would just be leery about where you would teach school at as some of the cities aren't as western friendly

Today was an interesting experience. I took one of my lady friends in to see her parole officer so it was trip to downtown San Antonio. Taking the Cobra definitely wasn't the smartest thing I've ever done. I have never been propositioned more for party favors and other assorted services than I did sitting outside of the city jail while waiting.

I also heard an interesting lyric from a song that she's crazy about...don't know who sings it but the chorus cracked me up:

Mom is hooked on Mary Kay
Brother is hooked on Mary Jane
and Dad is hooked on Mary two doors down

It was some song about trailer parks and being stuck in a rut as one of the other lyrics was about same trailer different park.

Btw, before you ask, the young lady in question got hit for a DWI about a year ago and her co-worker had some party favors in her work bag. While I'm on the subject, can anyone rationalize why every performer I know has a huge work bag? How much room does shoes, a few t-backs and some bras / halters take up, that you would need a rolling duffle?

Weekend?

Tonight: Just relaxing around the house. Possibly take the family out to dinner when my wife gets home from work depending on if she gets out on time and how much energy I have.

Tomorrow: Work during the day. Poker night with some guys from my old company at night.

Sunday: Picked up 6 hours of overtime to help out another location. Then just relaxing at home with the family after that.

Plans tonight ....
Fringe

Plans Saturday ....
Go to parents house and set up their wireless printer to work with the ipad and new laptop.
Take down outside christmas decorations.
Start watching Homeland. Recently downloaded both seasons because I heard it was a good show.

Plans Sunday ....
Maybe to the Sabres store to take advantage of the 50% off deal
If the schedule is out, start dividing up my season tickets with friends.

Anyone have kids in Williamsville East high school?

Yes it does. But the printer companies make it sound sooooo easy to set up. "Just plug n play". "You'll be printing in 10 minutes".

Bullllllll shhhhhhhhh

Nothing goes as easy as stated.

Yeah, they're a pain in the ass. Every iPad that I've needed to setup printing on has been annoying.

Yea, Fringe was the closest (in my eyes) to x-files. And I still miss x-files. I hope another show is created in the vein of Fringe and x-files.

Its gorgeous out and I'm working til 5.

All well guess it's better to be happy with my job and miss a nice Saturday in January than to be unhappy and have today off.

One week into The Crosstown Throwdown and I've lost 6 pounds.

I hope I can get to 20 lbs by the end of the 8 weeks.

Congratulations on the loss. Its just a shame the weight loss plateaus...would be much nicer if it was steady.

I found this article posted by HG in another social venue amusing. It explains how confrontational responses solidify and further polarize opinions. Message board fodder, I think. http://www.motherjones.com/environme...e-science-less

It's no different than our political climate (not to bring politics into here because I know it's a no-no) or society as a whole. All you hear are the voices of the radicals on both sides because they speak the loudest.

You're not going to change their opinions, so they get even louder.
