Streamed this a few times today on Spotify. Great album! Modern rock / indie rock if that is your type of thing.

I'm pumped for a new National album as well.

Has anyone listened to the streaming Youth Lagoon album? Quite good, but I'm only halfway through it. It's great on headphones.

Two months into 2013, I think it's already shaping up to be a lot better than 2012, which wasn't a great year for music. Decent, but not great.

Here's my top 5 two months in:

1. Youth Lagoon - Wondrous Bughouse *
2. Grouper - The man who died in his boat
3. My Bloody Valentine -m.b.v.
4. Foxygen - We are the 21st century...
5. Night Beds - Country Sleep

* Not yet released

Edited to say: Youth Lagoon really reminds me of Sparklehorse.

So May's looking pretty good so far. Just got tickets to The Lumineers and Of Monsters and Men. It'll be my first time seeing both of them live. The latter is an outdoor show during the middle of May

It's fantastic, my favorite of the year so far. Some of the songs have a great Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band vibe.

I'm really excited for the National as well. That song they made for Game of Thrones was really good.

The song used at the end of Warrior is perhaps even better.

So apparently Phoenix's new album has already leaked. I'm trying not to listen to it, but I don't know how long I'll last.

Thee Oh Sees (who had one of last year's most underrated albums 'Putrifiers II) has a new album coming out in April.

Riverside's "Shrine of New Generation Slaves" is so far my favorite album this year.

Loving it, which is no surprise.

2013 is looking to lap 2012 in terms of albums I deem 'good' by May at this pace.

That's how I'm seeing it, and I still don't even have a real computer to really listen to them all.

David Bowie's new album was put on iTunes, and it's pretty fantastic.

That Yeah Yeah Yeahs single is alright; kinda weird hearing a gospel choir with them.

I don't know man there still hasn't been much that's impressed me so far in 2013, at least indie/alternative/rock wise. Been a few good hip hop albums but that's about it.

I can't explain this, but I was a bit sour on the new Youth Lagoon after listening to it every day on the NPR preview... but getting the real thing today and listening a few times has me firmly back on the bandwagon.

Another great, new Fat Possum album came out today: the new Water Liars. You can listen to the whole thing here: http://www.mtvhive.com/2013/02/25/wa...=share_twitter
