the giants absolutely need to draft a good linebacker, cant keep piecing together the middle of the field with other teams scraps.
im also ok with Wilson and Brown running the ball, i think they complement each other well and for the amount of money Bradshaw is going to want, its not worth the risk of him only being able to start and/or play in a handful of games.
it really is crucial that we have a good draft this year, this teams got a lot of apparent holes with not much talent in the wings waiting to take the spots, we need to have a good draft at lb and ol, also picking up a diamond in the rough like a woodhead at any position would be nice.
the ~13 million in cap space should make retaining Stevie brown, and getting Cruz a new deal

I hope they bring back Bradshaw on a smaller contract, but Reese knows exactly what he is doing. Canty and Boley were obvious targets, as Boley was surpassed by J. Williams late last year, Canty was making too much for his level of contribution. Bradshaw... well RB is a young mans game.
This should open up funds to get Victor a new contract as well as a few others as well.
Was kind of expecting Bradshaw to be released sooner rather than later. Don't think we'll miss him too much if we start the season with Brown and Wilson.
The Jets don't have the space to be players in free agency. The cap will be set at $121M. The Jets are at $147M. They can cut Bart Scott,Calvin Pace,Eric Smith and Jason Smith to open up $30.7M. They have so many free agents and players to replace with no money. John Idzik needs to clean house. Purge the roster. Be patient. Mark Sanchez can be cut after 2013. Santonio Holmes and David Harris can be cut after 2013. That $147M includes $9M for Darrelle Revis. Trading Revis bumps up the cap hit to $12M.
very sad to see bradshaw go but i believe wilson is the future runningback for them. i think he could really be something special. just need to fix up that o-line. im sure they'll either have brown go along with him or draft another runningback in a later round. i think jaquain williams is going to take boleys spot now but i agree it wouldnt hurt for them to draft another linebacker.
Wanted to share this new site which is basically Capgeek for the NFL which is overthecap.com. I know we have a few Jets fans left here who are probably familiar with nyjetscap.com, and the same guy is behind the new site covering contracts for all the teams, as well as free agent lists for the coming year.
Bradshaw when healthy was an excellent contributor in so many ways. Really upset to see him go, but he's deserving of more money. He's a throwback, and one of the best draft picks ever made by the franchise.
Boley and Canty were MIA this season, but then again so were Osi, Tuck, JPP, Kiwi etc etc.
I like what Reese is doing. Pats do it all the time. Trim the fat but keep the core. The Division is getting weaker especially since RG3 is about to become an immobile one-diomensional QB.
With the easier schedule next year, they can win the division with the team they have right now, including all the recent cuts.

His name is Jason Fitzgerald. Last week,he proposed the Jets extending Cromartie and Harris to create cap space for 2013. No. No.
Webster yes. Tuck might be asked to re-structure. Rolle they'll leave alone.
Rolle is an 8 mil cap hit this and next year, and they have safety depth in Stevie Brown and Will Hill.
Webster is in his last year. And they have no other capable starting CB to replace him. If they did cut webster they would likely need to spend his entire cap hit to sign a FA CB.
Tuck can't be asked to restructure. He is in the last year of his deal. He could be asked to take a pay cut, but he wouldn't take it in all probability.
Ryan Clady
Jake long
Brandon Albert
Sam Baker
Andre Smith
Sebastian Vollmer
That's a few of the names. Smith only played RT. and Vollmer has been at RT the past couple years, but basically the OT position is loaded in free agency. Should help the giants and any other team looking for an OT by driving down prices.
Lots of DTs out there too.
Henry Melton
Richard Seymour
