Definitely watching Canada's game on the 26th live, and again on the 30th/31st. The 28th will probably just be a rebroadcast for me.

I'm especially excited for the game on the 30th. Going to the Mooseheads game Saturday evening, then out to the bars with the boys and then home to make the game for 5:00 am (AST). Going to be awesome.

Russia game Dec 31 (9:30am) we already have the green light to watch at work.

I do not understand in the least those that say watching it live at 4:30am is any different than watching on PVR without knowing the result. Exact same feeling and you get to skip commercials/any boring intermission segments, plus you know, sleep. But hey, to each their own!
It`s still not the same feeling.

I'm with you. There's something different about watching something in real time, experiencing the same emotions at the same time that players and other fans might be at the same moment halfway across the world.

Weeeeirrrrrd. I don't know how you guys feel that. I feel the exact same way about the game, highs and lows, emotional roller coaster, when watching on PVR as long as I know absolutely nothing about the game.

I don't see how some emotional connection with other humans around the world makes any difference! You guys are nuts. LOL. Number one, there is a slight delay on your TV anyways, and number two that just sounds really weird to me. Haha. I guess it's all about ones mindset. I'll take extra sleep and skipping commercials/intermissions for surrrre.

But I say all this with the knowledge that I won't be going in public or going on the internet, nothing like that at all. Out of bed, straight to the TV, and hit play. No spoiler possibilities at all. Then I have the emotional connection with those that have PVR'd it around the world.

I'm a late night person and I stay up till like 6AM some nights anyways so it won't make a difference. I'll just be staying up.

Being Atlantic time zone, I will be getting up early for each game. No reason why not to.

I echo this for sure! Because I usually find out the score before I watch the recorded event.

I am not sure about this event though. 1am PST for most games. Maybe when they play the better teams I will stay awake.

I'm recording it and watching it later that day/evening. I get just as pumped no matter live or not. If I watch them live, I'll have nothing to look forward to later that day, games will all be over by 11 or 11 30. Rather grab a 6 pack of beer and watch in late afternoon/evening the same day. Then go and see all the back and forth arguments on hf after I watched the games.
