Right now I'm considering doing MMA, there's a gym right by my house and I always hear it's great cardio.

If I don't go forward with it for w.e. reason I'll consider yoga. I know a few people that do it.

If you're going to do MMA, then I think you'd especially want to look into yoga... Even if only once or twice a week. The balance, core strength, and flexibility it would provide you with would be a huge advantage for any style of fighting.

I second this. I train MMA (BJJ & Kickboxing focus) and Yoga is imperative for my successful training

Just don't become one of those *******s who makes everyone feel worse by spending warmup doing impossibly long hand stands.

Mostly Ashtanga, 4x a week as a completely isolated routine not included in my training.

Make time... seriously. Even if it's just 30 minutes 2-3 times a week in the morning or something.

Ok... that's what I do as well. Still blown away by how much I like it. Thought the whole mind clearing thing was a crock a ****, but it really isn't. Every time I go it's like 90 minutes of having the brain turned off, and it's like I try to think of WTF I just did over that time span... In a good way.

Yeah, I sometimes have a hard time slowing the brain down and focusing but I can do it fully most of the time and it helps keep you balanced, I think.

You know it, though the fact that I've lost over 30 lbs in under two months and I've still got a belly really hammers home how much of a fatass I especially used to be!

It's pretty amazing how quickly you can lose weight if you were just stagnant most of your life.

Keep it up, it's a great feeling. Eventually it becomes routine and you don't even think about it anymore. After a while, going to the gym is like eating breakfast or going to bed.

I went to buy one once and couldn't believe how expensive they are. Just ended up taking the back off of an old kitchen chair to save the money.

If you have to come here and ask other people for motivation, that means you probably don't really care all that much.

You can get people to tell you to watch motivational videos, listen to motivation speeches, and look at motivational pictures all you want.

But if you really can't bring yourself to do that yourself then you probably need to get real about how important it really is to you to get in shape.

Call this harsh if you want, but don't be dishonest with yourself.

That being said, if you're just here to look for videos and stuff like that, here's one:
