Yeah. I don't think any country could produce talent like Hossa, Gaborik, Chara, Halak, etc. and 2-3 NHL draft picks each year from only 140 players

Well they have been struggling to produce elite talent recently, but yes a 140 U18 players would be something like Romania

Even Romania has a bit more than that (872 U20 players).

Just started watching but I wouldn't worry about Russia. Last few years they haven't dominated weaker competition as much as one would think.
