I don't think we'd get those guys, but it would be better to shoot for them and not get them than get some overpaid guy maxed out for 3-4 years in a deal or sign Dwight to the max. Plus, if things did turn out that way, we'll be able to build through the draft. Which is what really needs to happen one way or the other.
If it was up to me, there's no way I'd put a max contract deal on the table for Dwight. He's too mentally fragile and unreliable, not to mention his level of play.
They'll definitely have some tough decisions to make. Building through the draft might be a good option but what if Kobe decides to play past 2014? He won't want to play for a rebuilding team and I don't think the Lakers will just let him walk so they might be forced make another run even though they should be rebuilding. Kind of like the Celtics with Pierce/Garnett or the Flames with Iginla.
Really good game going on between the Thunder and Warriors right now.
All of the guards selected to the Western team deserved to go also. Bad luck for Curry, wouldn't have had a problem if he was picked, but can't say I'd put him in over any of the other guards selected, maybe Parker. There's only so many spots to go around, someone has to miss out, sucks for Curry that it was him.
and yeah lol at raging about the fan voting because of Curry and Lopez not being selected. The starting guards aka the ones that the fans actually voted for, were Paul and Kobe. There's no debate that they should be the back court for the West team.
