I will not rate Barkov, Monahan and Lindholm yet. In Barkov's case, I have not seen him since last year, which is a shame but something that I will rectify. I have not seen Monahan play in a long time, so I would rather not commit. I have never seen Lindholm play as of now.
1. Nathan MacKinnon
Skating: 5 - Fast, but his acceleration is what sets him apart
Hands: 5 - Underrated aspect by some, he can handle the puck at top speeds
IQ: 5 - Natural born killer, has shown good defensive instincts as well
Playmaking: 4 - Not the purest playmaker ever, but it's still above average
Shot: 5 - Natural goal scorer
*Physicality: 4.5 - Hits when he needs to, strong on the puck
*Intangibles: History of showing up when he needs to
2. Seth Jones
Skating: 5 - For a big man, he has a very smooth stride
Hands 4 - Excellent for a big defenseman
IQ: 5 - Can take over a game with his all-around hockey intelligence
Playmaking 4.5 - Uses his smarts to set up the play
Shot: 5 - Boom baby
*Physicality: 4.5 - Uses his size to gain advantage on puck, hits hard
3. Jonathan Drouin
Skating: 3.5 - Good skater, not explosive
Hands: 5 - Best hands in the draft, Patrick Kane good
IQ: 4.5 - Dynamic offensively, decent defensively
Playmaking: 5 - Hands and vision make him a top-flight playmaking winger
Shot: 4 - Does the job well, but like his skating, not explosive
*Physicality: 2.5 - Puck protection is okay, but he'll never be a power forward
