Eagles re-sign Vick to 1 year deal

Adam Schefter ‏@AdamSchefter
Biggest off-season QB domino already has fallen: Eagles have re-signed Michael Vick to a one-year deal for 2013 season.

Guess they restructured his huge crazy contract?

Would be good news for the Eagles. Bad news is that Vick is still the QB.

It doesn't even matter. They could put some Styrofoam cups at QB and still beat the Giants.

Hmmm, somewhat surprising for me. I was expecting Vick to get cut. Then Eagles sign Dixon. Have Foles stay in the rotation and possibly draft a QB like Geno Smith or EJ Manuel.

Vick's new deal is technically a three-year deal, but, per the contract, final two years void in mid-March. So it's a one-year deal.

Jason La Canfora ‏@JasonLaCanfora
Vick's deal incorporates a base salary, roster bonus, signing bonus and incentives to reach a max of $10 million

Sweet, another year of not watching football. I can't watch this guy on my team for another second. Absolutely brutal QB.

I think the Eagles need a CB. With this signing i think its 100% guaranteed they take Dee Milliner if he is still there at #4.

Whatever. I had already written next year off anyway. Anything good Vick does is just a plus at this point, though I can't say I'm optimistic.

This franchise sure knows how to take the relief I felt from Reid's firing and turn it back into worry/doubt.

Talk radio in Philly has been absolute gold this week. Oh man. Someone just said they'd take Vick over Eli Manning right now. The normally calm and collected Ray Didinger went absolutely ballistic on him, and then convinced himself it was a rouse. It wasn't.

Lmao, what has Vick done besides 2010 that he has earned the right to be better than Eli Manning? Besides being mobile, Manning is the better QB right now.

Didinger should have just blasted him to bits and state he knows nothing about football

That's essentially what he did. He didn't say the guy knew nothing about football, but that he needs to watch more of it

Didinger is the man. Absolutely the smartest and most rational football mind in Philadelphia, and he's gotta be top 5 in the country.
