How come Lerg hasn't been playing.

Also, Beaupre 1a, +2 with Barrie/Elliott out. I'm tempted to make the Church of Beaupre to ensure my early adopters card gets in the mail in time before everyone else jumps on his bandwagon.

Beaupre was a really good pick. He should be a solid #5 and possibly #4 stay at home defensemen. Great shotblocker with an underrated offensive game.

O´Byrne´s solid game in the ECHL

The recap of O´Byrne´s lockout career in the ECHL.

Ryan O´Byrne was alone player of the Colorado Avalanche, who played in North America during the lockout period. He also was alone defenseman of the team, who played somewhere. O´Byrne joined Florida Everblades of the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) at the end of November. Florida is a defending champion and totally 23 teams play in the league.

O´Byrne made his debut on 30th November and assisted on one goal. Finally, Florida lost to Greenville Road Warriors 4:5 in the shootouts. In the next game, O´Byrne faced the same opponent, but now could score a goal and also added one assist for two-point game. Florida won 4:3. Ryan had remained pointless for almost next two weeks, when he finally had the assist.

The second O´Byrne´s two-point game was against Kalamzoo Wings, when Ryan scored the goal and had one assist again. Everblades won 2:1 and there was no doubt who was MVP of the game. Ryan could collect next two points in one game against Warriors for the third time in the season. He assisted two times. One of his best games was also against Orlando Solar Bears, when Ryan had team-high five shots.

O´Byrne appeared in 16 games in the ECHL. Florida won eight of them (the longest winning streak was four- game), had five regulation losses and three in the overtime/shootouts. Ryan scored two goals and added nine assists for eleven points. He also gained ten PIM, three plus points and had 29 shots. He had at least a point in eight games.

Eurolanche could not follow O´Byrne in the ECHL as the rest of Avalanche players playing in Europe, but as we can see on his stats, he is in good shape and was solid.

Thanks for taking Bordeleau. During his three-game suspension, the Monsters went 3-0. Rolled last night without him. Pretty sure it's not just a coincidence.

The Monsters should be better equipped to handle some of these call-ups than other AHL teams. Barrie and Elliott would be big losses, but most of their offense up front will stay. Thomas responded with three points last night. Carey is still around. Lerg will hopefully be back sometime soon. Agozzino and Connolly are still around. Sgarbossa will probably come back.

Certainly in a better spot than a team like Oklahoma City, for example.

Seems like Pickard's starting to separate himself from Aittokallio a little bit. I was out of town last week, so I didn't go to any of the games. Five-game road trip now with Disney on Ice in town.

Nope. I think with NHL coming back, interest in streaming AHL has gone down.

There's always radio.

Aittokallio was also injured for a couple of weeks so they might take things slow.

But all in all Pickard has been a bit more stellar throughout the season in my opinion.

Friendly Rampage fan here. I was at the game last night and the Rampage were a totally different team than they were on Thursday night (thank GOD). We, as Rampage fans, were QUITE impressed with Pickard (sp?) as a goal tender. He worked his butt off and although he let 4 through, he fought off bursts of shots and prevented a very high scoring game. Great goalie!

Thanks for the update. I knew Aittokallio was dinged up when Millan was recalled, but I didn't know it was a longer term issue.

I jinxed them with my Bordeleau stat last night.

Beaupre should stay with LEM now that the lockout is over. Just my opinion...

BTW, I'm excited to watch a full LEM game for the first time since Dec. 22th. Should be a win for LEM tonight considering the Aeros will miss Granlund, Kampfer, Palmieri (all gone to Wild camp) and many injured key players.

How many injured key players do they have?

Just curious.

Right now I think it's just Lerg and Malone. Some other guys are injured as well but that could be more of a positive than a negative. Also Olver, Van der Gulik, Elliott, Barrie, Sgarbossa and Bordeleau(lol) are at the Avs camp.

Also Hishon is still hurt but he has been out the whole year.

Most teams are in the same boat though mate All NHL clubs have called back up their rookies.

Injury updates almost never happen around here. The local media doesn't care enough to follow them and the team is pretty hush-hush about things.

You could try to tweet (if you have Twitter) at the Monsters play-by-play guy @DougPlagens and see if he answers.

Good win tonight apparently.

Aittokallio with 26 saves. Carey, Strong and Stollery with the goals.
