TV Coverage (and Streams) of the World Junior Championship 2013 in Europe

Guys from Western, Central & Eastern Europe,
can you please inform us about the tv coverages in your country.

For the moment there is no tv channel in the german speaking countries, which will broadcast. years ago eurosport 2 did it, but these days are gone.

very sad that trojka (STV 3) is gone, they broadcasted 2 years ago a lot of more games.

STV 2 & ČT Sport will also show the final match...

Finland

All Finland's games, QFs, SFs, bronze medal game and the final will be broadcast live on MTV3 MAX Sport 1 HD channel and katsomo.fi onlineTV.

http://translate.google.com/translat...a-26-12-5-1%2F

MTV3 MAX Sport is the premier sports channel in Finland so I expect a lot of people to follow the tournament now that we have a solid team and games aren't played in the middle of the night.

It maybe premier sport channel, but few people actually have it. At least most i know ( including myself ) prefer Canal+. They really should put the games on free channel.

They are all the same these days after MTV Media reorganized and renamed most of their pay TV channels.

SVT (free & commercial-free) will air all but one of Sweden's games in the group stage and have direct streaming on the web (need a Swedish proxy dough).
Ex: http://www.svtplay.se/video/902758/28-12-13-00
Viasat (premier channel) will show the one remaining game in the group, and a semi if Sweden reach that stage + a bunch of more games from the other match-ups. (Not the final - that's on SVT)

Are they going to have video-on-demand, as well?

SVT had it last year so they will likely have it this year as well. Viasat will probably not have video-on-demand, at least not for free.

very nice. too bad no broadcast of finns, czech, switzerland and latvia games. they could have shown the games on viasat hockey or viasat sport.

edit: what about the broadcasting of playoff games?

The English language version of Eurosport 2 usually broadcasts both WJC (Canada´s games 1 semifinals/finale) and Spengler Cup. Sometimes when the playing time clash, they would broadcast the WJC games with a delay. Though i don´t think that should be a big problem this year considering the time difference between Switzerland and Russia.
