5-1 CAN

I think the Slovaks are being a little bit overrated because they gave a poorly coached Russian team trouble. Then again, they could also give Canada trouble if some players continue being sloppy defensively.

I work nights, so this is my morning/mid-day. I can't watch this, as I'm at work and can't find a stream that will work on my Samsung Galaxy SII LTE. I should be able to catch Canada's next two games, though. TSN 1290 to the rescue tonight.

It's a bad ass cape. They should wear it with pride.

Only for Canadian players though, something the Canadian management came up with to do with 1972 I don't know looks hilarious though

I thought it was a cape Nuge was wearing. That's just the dumbest thing I've ever seen.

Does this game start at 1:30PST or do I have to sit through a half an hour trap set up by TSN?

They should sell those capes. It would be awesome if all the Canadians in the crowd were wearing them.

6-2 Canada. Kinda sucks we got to play Germany, and Slovakia first, no really test for Subban. Could hurt us if he's not on his game when we square up with Us, and Russia.

That's just what I was going to mention. Hockey Canada needs another marketing gimmick to add another 100 million to the bank account, Nicholson needs another raise in salary. I don't mind any of these team building tricks and motivational tactics Hockey Canada uses, but for the most part it should be organic and come from the players, not from the head idiots in charge at Hockey Canada, and leave it in the dressing room...Nugent-Hopkins had to go to media interviews wearing that thing, he's a professional for crying out loud parading around like it's a pee-wee tournament. I tell ya, if I ever get in ear shot of the idiots that run Hockey Canada, they will hear it from me.

Guaranteed the Nuge wanted to wear it for the interview. The boys loved it too I'm sure. All teams have something like this from mites to the NHL. I even recall post game playoff interviews with ugly jackets in Boston and a fedora in New York.

I'm not saying I disagree that some of the top people at HC are clueless but to nitpick on something like that is laughable.
