I don't think Forsberg has chemistry problems. It's more that he gets caught up in trying to do too much himself and is easy to defend, even if he is very skilled.

lol that swiss dman was awesome.. tried to get the forwards stick and he ignored him.. and then he made an awesome block and play without a stick.

Wennberg should play PP especially with 4 F 1 D setup.

Aren't you the one who kept talking smack about Forsberg in just about every post you made in the previous game? And all other junior-threads?

Sweden flat out dominated but the Swiss capitalized on their chances, or only chance.

It's pretty obvious Forsberg isn't working on that line. He's trying to force everything, is turning the puck over a lot and doesn't seem to have any chemistry with Karlsson and Rakell.

Lead for the Swiss but I think they probably would've liked to have made more chances.

Swiss won't be able to keep this wall of defense up. Just too much pressure. Sweden will win this.

Filip Sandberg had a combined 18-2 on draws in the exhibition games and game against Czechs. Looks like he won all in the first period here aswell.

worked against Russia in the QF 3 years ago, I don't recall them having too many chances then, just Russian dominance, Conz standing on his head, and a couple turnovers leading to Nino goals

Well, that was the first period I've seen of a Swiss junior national team in my life and I'm a bit divided. On one hand they scored once out of 2 or perhaps three good chances. On the other they are losing waaaaay to many pucks in their own zone. They are taking penalties with out necessity. But then again they stick together and fight.

If they manage it to stop those stupid actions as mentioned, this game could become a biiig surprise for everyone

GO BOYS!

Question to the Swedes: Your goalie seems to have a Finnish name, could he also have played for Finnland?
I'm not a Swede but I can answer, there's a lot of Finnish names in Sweden, mostly immigrants during 1st and 2nd world wars.

Magnus Pääjärvi, Joel Lassinantti, Petter Mäkitalo, Mika Hannula, Johan Harju, Tommy Salo,

Just some Swedish players that come to mind bearing a Finnish name. All of them Swedes, born and raised.

The Swiss had more than one chance ... yet Sweden is dominating clearly in the game but to one exception had no opportunities that was a 50% goal or such a high level opportunity. + the Swiss team looks decomposed !

hopefully they will find their collective game again.

Neither Conz or Nino is playing this game. Or anyone on their level. Especially Nino.

Swiss are creating chances on the counter, it may be rare but when they do break out they do seem to have chances. Will be a very interesting next two periods, hopefully the Swiss can hold out for a great third period finale.

Lot's of swedes have finnish names due to immigration from Finland after and during the wars, but they are swedish nontheless.

Forsberg fanned an open net which should have went in as well as the Collberg post and the amazing save by the Swiss goalie inclose against Rakell(?) off a pretty pass from behind the net.

Sweden has had some grade A chances to score..

Conz was a nobody before that game though. And well they don't have Nino but overall they're more well balanced offensively, they already showed that they can score off of turnovers

Hopefully this thread doesn't turn out like the Gong show that was Canada-Slovakia thread and other threads it spawned.

Sweden dominated the period but the Swiss players are very dangerous when they counter attack.

It looked like a swiss player touched the puck just before it got to Forsberg, otherwise I think he wouldve scored.. (perhaps :p)

Okay, but looking at the game I just don't believe they'll be able to keep this up. But that's my opinion, we'll see how it goes.
