Well when there's one goal and you score it, that's pretty much automatic.

Either Americans got tired or thought the 3rd will be as easy as 2nd for them without doing much for it.

Grimaldi is an annoying player. Very selfish with the puck. Seems overly convinced of his abilities.

Jones was the best player on the ice for the first half of the game. Didn't show up for the second. Needs to be more consistent, obviously.

Gibson made several great saves to keep the game close.

I would have taken McCabe over Trouba defensively this game.

He should have just said Canada was the best in the tournament. How dumb is he, showing confidence in his country and team? I'm sure his teammates would have liked him to spend some time propping up Canada and Russia.

I don't believe that, from what I saw they called the obvious penalties for both sides, and chalked the little stuff up to being a competitive hockey game.

They let the players play and the result was a great hockey game.

You are standing pretty tall with a leaky backline and not having played another good team. Canada isn't getting the goaltending you saw today. Might want to save taunts for when you are actually on the medal stand. They have been less impressive than the two teams I just watched.

I know, yet they couldn't score more than one goal due to their lack of skill. They have nothing to be ashamed of.

I agree with you. I'm not saying it's right but little thought goes into it when only one guy on the team scores.

Reilly and Jones was the weakest D pairing for the US.

Also, I believe they need to change the Gaudreau-Grimaldi-Miller line. Miller should be playing on the third line. Grimaldi is skilled but he lacks vision so he doesn't do much even though he has the puck a lot. Gaudreau was just invisible, looked too easy to knock off the puck.

Jones is an absolute stud. Sure he got beat wide by a size/speed marvel, but come on. He's got the #1 pick locked up.

I will say that from the games I've seen they've gone pretty shallow on picking the losing teams player of game. Oh he scored? Player of the game. Makarov was definitely the best Russian player. Without him the US wins.
