Oh, and 9-8 USA.

Hey, no one predicted it before the Jets-Flyers game either.

All I can say is I would love it if Galchenyuk went off in this game. That would be epic!

This is going to be a great game. Russia should come out flying.

Shouldn't Galchenyuk play for Russia?

American teams generally don't like the Russians. We don't like the Canadians a lot too, but with Russia it's different.

He was born in Wisconsin. I don't know if he has duel citizenship given his time in Russia, but if he does he made his choice.

Yakupov and Grigorenko will put their name on the scoresheet as well.

However, I'm really looking forward in seeing Yakupov being neutralized by Trouba and Jones.
Yeah Yakupov doesn't scare me at all. Worried about Grigs though.

Which is why you let kids pick who they want to play for in these situations. Kind of silly for the IIHF to try and regulate it. Sad to say but they could have looked to FIFA for guidance. (I will never say that again about FIFA).

Could end up relatively dull if the USA grabs an early lead--if they do that I think they play a very conservative game physically and offensively. I'm guessing that's going to happen, and the USA will win it in regulation despite about 5 minutes of pure horror in their own end the last part of the 3rd.

I predict Russia to take it in regulation. Hoping for a U.S. win, though.
