so now that we've got the lay of the land, what bars/pubs (besides paddys and the fan zone) are playing the games?

Just figure it out yourself. The home team (todays game atleast) attacks to the left, seen from the TV camera, in the first and third period. And the (main) TV camera is on the same side as the team becnhes, which should be shown on tha "ticket map". Just take it from there.

Yeah, but they don't show the benches.. But I think it's against A1. The emergency exit or whatever it is in every corner i smaller there. And in the second period Norway attacked against those. So i guess I'll go with that

Aren't the "home" and "away" teams dependent upon the group results anyway? You really should have contacted the ticket office with your inquiry by now if you're in a rush to buy tickets.

Uou could use this pic as help: http://ogaegreece.com/wordpress/wp-c...a_g4_pm_su.jpg

That should mean that the home team attacks away from the restaurant. Which should mean A1
Thats the best I can do, but you really should contact the ticket office as stated above to be sure.

An O'Learys franchise pub would probably easiest to find for that.

Final standings

Just put of curiosity, does anyone know how they're determining 5th thru 8th place after the quarters?

Section (entrance) B & C/row 6 for the Isstadion & A15 (row 1) & A17 (row 9) for the arena if anybody is still looking. looking for face value but willing to let them go for a bit less as i'd hate to see them go to waste
I'm looking for a ticket to the final gold medal game. If still available please contact me at:

That's ignorant to say. Swedens games have been almost sold out. Some of the russian games have had good attendance.

USA vs Canada is sold out.

The playoff round will probably be well visited.

If hockey is to grow NA can't hold them every year. Although they always do a great job.

Non-Canada games aren't sold out in Canada either if they are not included in a ticket package.

Still quite a big difference between "well attended but not sold out" vs. visibly empty. Just compare the average attendance figures.

I'm going to Malmö to see the semi-finals and hopefully get tickets to the medal games. I'm really happy and excited to be able to attend WJC games and so are a lot of Swedes. But I guess only Canadians should have that opportunity.

Well I remember visibly empty games in Buffalo, 2011 it was?

Well technically Buffalo isn't in Canada although I think some people on this board might think so.

Didn't expect anything else. Swedish casuals are very picky when it comes to support. It's only Sweden's games that matters, and maybe some other big game.

Too small of a country and interest of Hockey as a sport, comparing to national interest (in any sport) as a whole. If you get my drift?
Just look at the half-empty stands in the Globe when the NHL started their season with not so interesting teams. It didn't matter that it was word class players that were playing. Most of them were no names to the overall swede anyway. And by that, of no interest.

Ya I'm looking forward to the day when USA Hockey has the stones to put the tournament far far away from the Canadian border. Southern Cali perhaps??? I think a Christmas in L.A. would be perfect.
