I agree that it's a bit of a perfect storm for Schultz but his last 2 seasons in the NCAA and his skill set make for a compelling argument that he is the best offensive Dman in this grouping...right now.

For those that say that he hasn't played in the NHL, neither has Nathan or Seth Jones but can't we see talent and production for what it is regardless of level sometimes?

Schultz is leading the team in scoring however. As a defenseman.

Schultz for a "potential" pick and Mcdonaugh for a safe pick.

As good as Subban is, I find him to be very overrated. There's quite a few young dmen I would take over him. I also could do without the lockeroom/practice antics.

That being said, for me it comes down to him and McD and depends what kind of player you prefer. I'm quite fond of defense first dmen, so McD for me. I think that kid is terrific.

Gotta go with PK just based on what I've seen so far. Potential wise they're all pretty close.

Voted Subban, but he and McDonagh are on another level as compared to the other defenseman, and McDonagh is underrated offensively, he will improve on his point totals and should be able to get you 40+ points while being super solid defensively.

I can only imgine Subban and McDonagh on the same pairing...

And LOL at Schultz being a generational talent. That made my night.

When he score 40 points in the NHL, he can be compared to Subban and McDonagh.

Well one got 38 and the other got 32 with no PP time. They're both 23 years old. Based on "upside" which fans of Schultz love so much, one would assume.....

Lol at people picking Shultz...I might pick him between the 4 players listed in a year or two from now but right now I'll go with the two who have done the most in the NHL, Subban or Mcdonagh.

Give me Subban all day.

Hate him when he plays my team, love him when he is on it.
