Actually, he's too much of a WINNER to be a Leaf prospect.

But man oh man am I disappointed in the Canadian kids. They get frustrated and then do some dirty hits to the head. And it wasn't only those two 5 min majors (maybe one of those shouldn't have been one, not going to argue about that), but there were 3 or 4 attacks to the head that went unpunished... Then the diving. I really thought Canada was better than that, simply disappointing. And now I kinda understand what Yakupov meant to say.
Anyway good luck to both teams in the next games.
I think the two penalties you guys took after making it 3-1 was very stupid. Brought Canada right back into the match. But overall another good effort from Slovakia and I am happy to see Dano grab a couple of goals, he always showed glimpses of being a very good player for Slovakia in the future when playing in the KHL.

I know, I know... just overslept. Now I feel guilty.

I am worried about the next game tho. Down a bunch of guys with a goalie who has early game jitters.

Camara has been ok in the tournament but I think they should dress 11 forwards and double shift Drouin with Mackinnon and Rattie.

Dress 7D, and let Murphy play top PP and soft minutes 5 on 5

It took two game misconducts for MacKinnon to get regular minutes and when he did he was dominant down low. Sure hope Canadian coach realizes that. Was finding it hard to comprehend he was getting less time than they guy they cut MacNeil until those penalties.

In all reality I am guessing alot of players on team Canada would thrive better getting more icetime(ie if we down to 10 men next game)

In previous years we did not have a #1 goalie and we were trying to find the lesser of the evils. This year, we have 2 strong goalies but, knowing us, we will/have chosen the wrong one.

Yeah the game against the Americans scares me more than the game against the Russians.

The speed they have is amazing. If we can neutralize their speed (how to do that is another thing) we have a good chance. I agree about Malcolm, he doesn't make me comfortable. He just seems too nervous at times.

Apparently the ref told Camara on the ice that the hit was clean.

Reported by Nabil Karim & confirmed by Bob McKenzie.

Not sure why they gave him a penalty then... but looks like he won't see any further discipline.

I thought I was the only one who noticed. Scheifele? Player of the game? Not by a longshot. He couldn't stay on his feet for the life of him. I thought he was awful today. Strome, Rielly, Oullette, Drouin and RNH were all better than him.

The Scheifele hate in here is pathetic.

Canada win, and all that happens is people complain about who should have won player of the game.

So drawing two penalties (which Canada scored on both I believe), a game winning goal, an assist, and a positive +/- is an awful game? Everyone is entitled to their own opinion on who was the player of a game, but saying Scheifele had an awful game is just flat out wrong .

Canada played bad for a lot of the game. If we play like that against the US and Russia we will lose. Why should Scheifele, or any player for that matter, be immune to criticism?
