I agree but Zibanejad has been one of our best players, we'll have to reward him somehow. Although I must say, we could just give that fourth line a lot of minutes.

They should get more minutes. The certainly deserve it based on play. Let Latendresse and other struggling players figure out their games in lesser roles.

Z has been good, but to be fair O'Brien and Condra have been effective in every game so far period.

I agree. Especially Condra. Good PKer, creates a lot 5 on 5. O'Brien can do a bit of everything. All three can skate. Guys who can skate do well in this system.

Why would he fabricate something like that?

Either way, he's reliable. First one to publicly share information about Cowen injury, Ziba concussion, Petersson surgery etc.

I just wasn't familiar with him. I thought he might have been just another senchirp.

IMHO

Greening--Spezza--Michalek
Silfverberg--Turris--Alfredsson
Regin--Smith--ONeil
Latendresse--OBrien--Condra

Methot, Karlsson
Phillips, Gonchar
Lundin, Wiercioch

Andresson

I would time for Zibby on the farm to play in the first line and I would never give play Spezza with young, creative players because he doesnt believe youngs I noticed that he doesnt pass youngs in the same situations like for example Alfie or Michalek

With DaCosta up I would like.

Michalek- Turris- Alfie
Zibenejad- DaCosta- Silfverberg
Greening- Smith- Neil
Latendresse- Obrien- Condra

Obrien and Condra being 2 speedy 2 way players can always cover up for the slow fatendresse while he geta his game back and the injuries.

Actually the top 6 should be

Zibenejad- Turris- Michalek
Silfverberg- DaCosta- Alfie

Based on the DaCosta- Silfver chemistry and the Alfie-Costa chemistry.

Have they ever even played together before?

There's no chemistry. That is not to say that there CAN'T be any going forward, but there is absolutely nothing there that is established in any way between the two of them, that you could confidently call "chemisty".

The game when Da Costa was rocked by Phaneuf last year, he was playing on Alfie's line. I'd rather see Da Costa on a scoring line than checking(top 6), leave that to Smith and O'brien.

Oh yeah? Huh. Didn't know.

I guess he was all over the lineup last year.

You look at his TOI (the most despised stat on these boards), and he's all over the place... from like 16:00/game to like 7:00/game.

Greening - Turris - Michalek
Silfverberg - Da Costa - Alfredsson
Condra - Smith - Neil
O'Brien - Zibanejad - Latendresse/Regin

I would like to see a lineup similar to this for the next game. Greening has the experience and power game to get some spot duty on the top line. Da Costa gets Alfredsson for support and Silfverberg as a nice option to dish to. Condra/Smith/Neil acts as a great 3rd line and then the 4th line has the leftovers.

I havn't liked Daugavins, Regin and Lats so far this year but at the very least Regin/Lats offer a little more upside if they can get things together.

Sometimes, it seems like Maclean is just drawing names out of a hat. I don't think anyone here came close to predicting that top 6.

He actually played 46% of his stint last year on Alfie's line. If memorie serves, he started off well but as time went on his ice time started getting a bit erratic and his play dropped off.

Really? You have a source for that?

I'm not doubting you, I just want to know where you got such a precise stat. Sounds like a good resource.

http://www.behindthenet.ca/nhl_time_...24+25+26+27+28

The actual number would be higher if it included PP TOI

Lundin should be back by Saturday it appears, really hoping Maclean rolls with these d- pairings:

Methot-Karlsson
Weircioch-Gonchar
Phillips-Lundin
Benoit

Boro back down to Bingo by default given the fact that Benoit would have to clear waivers.

Seriously? I didn't even realize he was practicing with the team yet.
