Nichushkin.

Last time I've seen so much speed going end to end is Malkin. Nichushkin doesn't have the hands or the same vision but Malkin didn't have as much power as this kid. Absolute beast. His one hand stick strength is amazing too, making accurate passes with one hand while holding off the defender at high speed.

Way more exciting than Yakupov when he takes off with the puck.

Kosov too, bad hands but he is no doubt the fastest guy on the Russian team- and that says a lot. Wouldn't surprise me if he is the fastest in the tournament. His conditioning has been world class, as he said, with Kulyomin Gonchar and Malkin as inspiration under Paul Maurice and NHL fitness coaches, he made a huge fitness leap this year.

I have to agree, never really heard his name before this tournament. It's great to see legitimate talent coming out of uncommon places.

Trouba has been my favorite to watch so far.

Also enjoyed watching
Galchenyuk
Slepshev, Spelling?
RNH

Still have yet to see a few teams, Finland/Sweden included.

Slepyshev is exciting for you? He hasn't done anything unfortunately. His injury and lack of fitness is clearly in the way.

No, he was playing in last year's WJC, but he's not here this time

Saw pieces of their opening game, and all of the USA/Russia matchup.

While I was more focused on USA players, he was a player I noticed early and was keeping an eye on.

Elias Lindholm of course I have enjoyed watching him for most of the year since I tune in to his club games to watch his cousin Calle when I can find a stream. But I really enjoy watching him play. The best prospect at Brynäs since Bäckström, which is saying a decent amount considering they have pumped out Markström, Ekholm, Silfverberg, and his previously mentioned cousin Järnkrok after Nicklas Bäckström.

What a pipeline of talent Brynäs has had over the last decade.

Teräväinen. Was not a big fan before the tournament but now he's hockey's Messi to me.

Canada - Drouin, Ouelette, Strome, Huberdeau and RNH
USA - Galchenyuk, Trouba, Jones
Germany - Drasaitl, Rippel(sp), Reider
Slovakia - Dano
Russia - Nicushkin, Grigorenko

I would like to say Mackinnon, but he hasn't played enough to get a good flow to his game. And he isn't being used properly by a coaching staff that seems to be coaching from Coaching for Dummies handbook.

Why galchenyuk? He has been horrible last 2 games and by horrible i mean invisible. He was good against Germany, who cares.

He hasn't been fun to watch at all IMO.

Teuvo "Keijo" Teräväinen for me, I didn't have much expectations for him and the lesser Granlund, but both of them have impressed me.. especially Keijo
