I think i managed to do what i set out to do which was to improve the ducks for now and the future by trading some soon to be UFAs for young guns that gives the ducks contract control and security.

VOTE BEST IN THE WEST
On offense, the Canucks boast one of the best top sixes in the league. Our 1st line of Sedins/Burrows, has proven itself to be one of the best top lines in the league. Henrik has 4 consecutive 80+ point seasons, and Daniel has had 3 80+ point seasons in the past 4 years. Each Sedin also put up one 100+ point season. In the past, secondary goalscoring has been a problem, however, we feel a fully healthy Kesler will be able to return to his 70 point, 40 goal Selke winning play, especially considering he is playing with the two best wingers he has ever played with in his career, including Phil Kessel, coming off a 82 point season. With less pressure, and better linemates, Kessel should be able to build on those totals. Ladd/Kesler/Kessel, we feel, is one of the best, if not the best 2nd line in the league. Our bottom 6 includes an elite 3rd line center in Sutter, as well as a strong core of support players in Hansen/Lapierre/McGinn/Higgins/Weise, providing a nice blend of grit and scoring.
On defense, we have built on last years core of Hamhuis/Bieksa/Edler. Out are Tanev, Ballard, and Salo, and in are Garrison, Bouwmeester, and Stuart. Hamhuis/Bieksa will return as one of the league's best shutdown pairs, as well as providing offense, putting up 12 goals and 90 points between them. Edler will have a new partner in Garrison, who is coming off 16 goal season, as well as playing excellent defense. He should be a great partner for Edler, as well as boot our PP. A 1st PP unit of Sedins/Kessel/Edler/Garrison would be deadly. And then our bottom pairing, includes Mark Stuart, coming off a solid season for the Jets, and who should be able to provide good defense as our 6th D. And then, we have Jay Bouwmeester. He is overpaid, but still a top pairing defensman, who will be playing on our bottom pairing. We may be perhaps the only team in the league that has the luxury of that much depth. We feel our new additions give us a top 3 defense in the league, if not the best defense. Then in net, we have Cory Schneider. Coming off a season where he posted a 1.96 GAA, and a 0.936 save percentage. With an even better team in front of him, he should be able to follow up last years performance with an equal or better one. The Canucks have a dominating top 6, a strong bottom 6 than can do everything, one of the top defenses in the league, as well as a top goaltender. We feel all this combined will lead us to our first Stanley Cup.

We believe that we are a playoff team for sure, with our improved offense, improved defense, and improved goaltending.
Although our roster doesn't have many superstar standout names, we have guys who can get the job done.
We have depth at every position, especially up front.
We have one of the best young power forwards in the league in Landeskog, as well as many other very talented forwards.
Our defense is highlighted by EJ, one of the best young d-men, and by Josh Gorges, an absolute warrior, who led the league in blocked shots last year.
Guarding the cage, we've got Luongo, now say whatever you want, but everything about how he is so bad so is just bull****. Luongo is still a very good goalie. Now, he has the tendency to choke in the playoffs. If that does happen, we've got Varlamov AND Giguere in case.
Overall, we are a playoff team, and I believe we have what it takes to achieve that an much more.
Lastly, I'm playing in a very tough division, with Vancouver and Minnesota, who have both built exceptional teams. I'm not expecting us to win the division, but hey, if you want to vote me high, I'm all for it.
Just a heads up, be careful on the ice against us. Don't want Johan "The Mule" Franzen (almost 230 lbs) or Jaromir Jagr (over 240 lbs) coming after you

I love your team but Franzen isn't the guy you should be worried about coming after you. Jagr isn't really one either

This is the result of our rebuild. I think the team is actually better this year than it was before the trade deadline, but it's still a very young squad that won't make the playoffs. But the future is bright. Key additions of Duchene, Yakupov and Kassian really changed the face of the franchise and should provide offence and excitement like we haven't seen in a long time here in Montreal. And yes, for once in a GM game, Gomez is still in Montreal!
Here's a look at our future roster, say 2-3 years from now.
I got him for a cap dump and a useless spec. I think Nashville needed space for another trade. Wish I could've gotten more but that was the best offer I had and I was too tired to stay until the deadline
