Well he was outplayed by Makarov who is Russia's number 2, so you might want to think that through a little harder. I like how Gibson has looked so far, looks confident. But those Russian tenders should probably scare you a little more than him in my opinion.

Both of them played incredibly well in their games. Gibson made some unreal saves, and came clutch on breakaways. In comparison, Subban seems to be beat cleanly quite easily. I'm not giving up on Subban and have defended him because really none of the goals he let in were weak ones, they were poor defensive breakdowns which left him out to dry. But when you look at how Gibson made clutch saves when there were breakaways and situations where he was on his own, he came through many times, even though the U.S. lost. If USA gets a breakaway or they have a 3-on-1 or whatever, I don't know how much I can trust Subban. I know he's a boss at shootouts but still.

I'm not too confident in Canada, I think USA will take this, 5-3. (hope I'm wrong, obviously...)

Well the first goal he let in was an unlucky bounce off the American defender then off Gibson's shoulder. Gibby probably thought he had it. The Canadians will be a test for him to be sure but Russia was supposed to be as well. Our D did a good job. I expected 37+ shots against from the Russians. If they can elevate their game even more after a little rest Canada will have to put their work in.

I didn't go to bed for 4 hours because getting up after 4 hours is way harder than just saying up .

Since caffeine makes me crash, the girlfriend made me bacon wrapped habaneros. It's safe to say I'm wide awake and chugging egg nog

The funny thing is, I can't stop eating them regardless of how much my mouth is on fire.

Yep, too risky. I'm drinking lots of coffee and eating hot salsa to make sure I have bad enough heartburn that I can't drift off. LOL.

I am going to pick Canada to win 5-2, but to answer someone else's question from earlier, I would rather play the USA than anyone else (Finns are a close second). If we lose I can stomach it because I love their style of game and respect their players to a man.

Can't wait to watch the game, have to watch it in silence to avoid waking up my parents. Closed captioning is your friend. Also I chugged a Red Bull so I'm fine.

You guys are all doing it wrong.. you take the grave yard shift at work get paid $15/hour and stay up while getting paid to watch Canada dominate the states.

Anyone see that Velasquez fight? Just picture him as being Canada (yeah he's American so?) and the other guy as America)

GO CANADA GO

Hey tsn is making you pay to watch games this year? What gives? Anyone know where I can get a free live stream?

You shouldn't have a problem finding a stream somewhere through the usual sources. ********, etc.

Cheers to any mother ****er still up and drinking. Next one's for you.

Let's see if we can make it through the whole game. Here's to a good game from both teams. Looking forward to seeing my boy Gally, and Mackinnon getting some real ice time with a couple forwards out.
