our goaltending is not great and our "team defence" is also pretty shaky. If Subban stands on his head this will be a great game but the US has proved they have a top notch goalie and we haven't yet? US win this one 6-4

Whoever wins, the goal differential won't be more than 1.

Prediction: 3-2 Canada

3 goals for Scheifele, 2 for Trouba

I got to be honest here, I'm pulling for Galchenyuk in this one, I guess I'm more of an Habs fan than a Canada WJC fan.

Prediction 7-3 Canada.

I can't wait for this one.

Hamilton needs to do more, he hasn't done anything so far, I was expecting a lot from him coming in to this tournament.

I will predict a 4-1 Canada win with Subban having a great game and silencing all the critics.

I'll like Russia more. RNH vs. Yakupov.

Prediction: A terrible penalty call in the first leads to one team dominating the other and then killing the clock for the entire 3rd period.

Subban gets yanked after allowing three in the first. Binnington shuts it down and Canada wins 4-3.

I thought Fucale and Comrie would be the future...But i really dont know what lurks behind them???
US U17s are regularly the best with team Ontario. Considering they are a team and not a collection of players, not shocking.

Can't wait for this game. 4-3 Canada.

RNH, Huberdeau, Scheifele and Drouin.
Jones, Galchenyuk and Grimaldi.

Binnington should start..Subban is only going to make a fool of himself. He's gonna get pulled.

As for the game, I have to say that Canada will win it. MacKinnon's coming out party on the same line with Drouin. Galchenyuk will be the US best player but with only 10 minutes of ice time.

What the hell do the Habs have to do with this. The only reason I want the NHL to start up again is so the Habs can get their ass kicked.

USA guy saying Canada should win easy. USA runs all its offense through Seth Jones and he's the only guy who can create anything consistently. Can't rely on your shutdown defenseman to be your team's only offensive weapon. Galchenyuk needs more ice time. Don't like the midget line at all. Too much emphasis on speed in USA hockey now. Need more than that.

I hope USA wins...and wins big....

This way there will be a goalie change and if there is no goalie change i hope Spott never coaches in the NHL....ever...

Canada Guy to USA guy....we have no goal-tending...thats part of hockey....goal tending being equal i think Canada wins...Goal tending NOT being equal as is now the case the USA wins big...

Remember we are missing 2 guys....might be a good thing..depends how Slow Spott handles the lines....

Yea Subban needs to prove he is a big game guy so I hope you are right. The good thing for him is he will get more work and most goalies like to face volume to get in a groove.

The way both teams have been playing so far I'd bet on the USA, however I think this is the game where Canada wakes up. Should be close either way.

I'm staying up, no point in going to bed IMO, tons of sports on this time of the year, not sure if you like college football but I plan to watch some of the late games have a few beers and wait until 4:00 for the game to start.
