Tatar during the first period intermission.

Gus and he don't deserve to be down there but it is what it is. They play hard no matter where they are.

Good for him. Hopefully he lets Holland know that as well.

He said it the right way. Was surprised to be back, but Gus deserves to be up as well and they have a lot of guys signed.

Yeah I'm happy he handled it the polite way, the kid has a good head on him. But in the back of my mind in wish he'd publicly express how dumb and unfair it is. Too bad that probably wouldn't go well.

Tatar scores a goal the moment he returns to the AHL. Ferraro gets a pair as well. Is he still being used as a center?

Actually spent most of the year on the wing, but was lining up in the middle a decent amount, because Andersson is up.

Pretty move on Tatar's goal, nice pass by Pare and he undressed Clime in tight.

Went to the game yesterday, really lackluster effort. For what it is worth thought Ferraro was probably the best Griffin. Sheahan and Tatar were just not on it at all. They had a lot of trouble as a team getting to the middle of the ice and thus weren't very dangerous.

Jurco - Ferraro - Mursak has to be one of the fastest lines in hockey, it is in the AHL, but I really mean just anywhere and any league in the world.

Which is another point Jurco's skating has improved a little and his confidence looks to be in a much better place, he wants the puck and battles a lot better than he did earlier in the year.

But a tough game to get real excited about them. They are fast and you can see they have a lot of talent. They are legitimate title threats, but needed to battle a little harder last night and dictate terms more than they did.

It is a good thing Peoria is pretty much out of the playoff picture, that team plays us well for whatever reason.

Can it be that McCollum has been in net for most of these games? I feel like he has.

Mrazek has started in 3, I think. We lost all of those. We have played 7 against them, McCollum won 2 of those. The first 2 then we have lost hose 5 straight.

Well the Griffins are back to having the best top 6 in the AHL today (Maybe Syracuse is better) with Nyquist being returned and nobody recalled.

More importantly, Nyquist and Tatar both have to be playing mad. Hope that translates to something.

Probably the least of my concerns. These guys have shown to be extremely professional. Nyquist played the best hockey since early season between his first demotion and last promotion, and Tatar flat out dominated in his first game back. Sheahan will be happy.

Syracuse is missing lot of their players right now. Killorn, Johnson and Palat are all up.

Nyquist - Sheahan - Tatar would by far be the best line in the AHL. I wonder if Jurco has played his way into the top-six even with Gus and Tats back in Grand Rapids. Now that I think of it, Pare or Mursak will get the final top-six spot. This team is going to have unbelievable forward depth:

Nyquist - Sheahan - Mursak
Tatar - Ferraro - Pare
Hogan - Aubry - Jurco
Nestrasil/Grant - Glendening - Callahan

Not sure how Blashill will handle Gus and Tats - they could play together or we could spread out the production - either way that's a hell of a lineup (hopefully that's similar to what he usually rolls with).

That's also before Jarnkrok makes the jump, I really hope he does tbh it would make the Griffins the favorites to win it all.

Jarnkrok and Sproul are going to make this team very tough to beat if they do actually come in.

One of the biggest weaknesses is Billins pea shooter shot on the PP. The game I went to against Milwaukee they even had him playing the half wall exchanging positions with Tatar for the point shot.

I would keep Mursak and Jurco together, they seem to have a feeling for each other. The crazy part is they are going to be scratching a decent AHL player, maybe Grant come playoff time if all these guys are down there.

The real question will be what they do with Ferraro and he was pretty good with Hoggan so despite how good he has played, he might shuffle down along with Pare to form a lethal by AHL standards third line.

Nyquist - Sheahan - Tatar
Jurco - Jarnkork - Mursak
Hoggan - Ferraro - Pare
Glendening/Grant - Aubry - Callahan

I don't see Glendening coming out of the lineup, Nestrasil has no prayer of sticking if Jarnkrok does come.

Basically this even ripples down to the ECHL, where Coetzee, Nestrasil, Raedeke, and Parkes could all be down there, which you would have to think makes them a considerable favorite at that level.

I am curious who ends up losing out should they sign Sproul, maybe Skinners contract runs out by then but how the defense would even shake out.

Paetsch - Nicastro
Almqvist - Sproul
Evans - Billins

The organizational depth underneath the NHL level is crazy right now.

Nice handness mix in the TOP6:

Jurco - Järnkrok - Ferraro (Left, Right, Right)
Pulkkinen - Sheahan - Frk (Right, Left, Right)
Quine - Aubry - Callahan (Left, Left, Right)
Hoggan - Glendening - Nestrasil (Left, Left, Left)
(Grant, Parkes, Coetzee) Bench/ECHL-group.
Tvrdon?

Ouellet - Sproul (Left, Right)
Almqvist - Nicastro (Left, Right)
Evans(/Dekeyser?) - Marchenko (Left, Right)
(Billins, Fournier, Nedomlel) Bench/ECHL-Group

Mrazek
McCollum/Coreau

Nyquist, Tatar, Andersson and Lashoff.

The Top Line "graduates".

I think both Mursak, Raedeke, Pearce and Pare are left without a contract. Or maybe they QO Mursak, but trade his rights somewhere. Maybe he bounds for Europe.

On defence, Paetsch, Skinner and other depth guys can walk. If we sign Dekeyser, that pushes Billins/Evans down in heararchy. Also Marchenko would be in the mix. Man, there will be some depth and competition!

Evans is the only D-vet I'd like to have. There is a bigger need for steady stay-at-home, I prefer him instead of Paetsch, who would only eat PP ice-time from your skilled youngsters.
