Just picked up my 1st out of needed 3 EDM CT's. Got it for $1.950. A bit pricey but needed and not many out there right now. 2 more Watched with a low starting bid. Under an hour too so that's good.
Damnit! Was just on the app scouting some potential SOTW centers to use on my team when I saw a SOTW Legwand for 10k BIN at the 59 min mark. Clicked on it and it was blank with no options. Knew right then that someone had already gotten it.

Sold off my Parise and then picked up a Richards SOTW. He'll go as my 2nd line Center and Toews will move down to my 3rd line Center. Put all my trade block up at a 50 start price and hoping to get enough for a Kesler atleast but would love to get a Simmonds SOTW aswell. Need to get some good grinders for my bottom 6.

I'm 2-7 in my last nine and getting blown out almost every game. I've tried changing up my lineup. I think I'll play online versus (regular mode) for a couple of days since I'm finding the match-ups in HUT to be pretty lame. At least with online versus there are so many people online at once that you can usually get a game with someone who is right at your level.
I'm wondering if in HUT they are rewarding people (like me) who have played many games too much in the rankings. The result of that would be that if you've played way more games than the average HUT player your overall ranking will be higher than your actual skill level and thus you'll end up playing players who are actually better than you at the game (though they have played way fewer games and are "ranked" lower in the rankings as a result).
(By better of course I mean the guys who skate into the corner then cut out across the middle and snipe one into the top corner every time NHL '94 style. Me, I can't play like that and have fun; I just like some variety in my game.)
It's just a theory, but having played over 600 games I noticed that in the overall rankings I have way more games played than any of the players around me (in the low 2000s), yet their winning percentage in the games they have played is higher than mine. As a result, I think I'm consistently getting matched up against superior players, which sucks because no one likes losing most of their games.
