Makes sense, they have a good defense and good running back.

Since Bears wont go with a guy like Jon Gruden then they should look in order

1- Dennison (Texans OC , Cutler former coach)
2- Jay Gruden (Bengals OC)
3- Kyle Shanahan

Under no circumstances should they talk to any defensive coaches

You got that right, maybe bring in Crennel just to cover the Rooney rule and appease the meatheads.

On the bright side, Steve "Mongo" McMichael has led the Chicago Slaughter to the playoffs in each of his six seasons as head coach of that offensive juggernaut. I think the Bears could do worse....really.

Charlie Weis?
Mongo plans to run for mayor of one of the western suburbs if I recall correctly

Meh

Richardson wasn't that impressive this year ,, Got alot of TD"s from times he was set up in redzone by offense/defense

He had a very Rashaan Salaam type rookie year

I've maintained Martin is the better back all year but Richardson is still quality. He played with 2 broken ribs most of the year too. He'll bounce back, probably will never catch Martin's rushing totals but will be a solid back.

Hopefully the offense uses a zone blocking scheme.

One, it would force us to move on from the crappy "maulers" that Tice liked.

Two, Forte would be amazing in that type of system.

Depending on if we change D schemes now, Melton could be easily gone.

Depends on how much he wants. He can play in a 3-4 or a 4-3 so I don't think they'll lose him.

The Bears (and Chiefs) are set to talk to Atlanta Falcons Special Teams coach Keith Armstrong about the HC vacancy. He must be someone they liked in KC, as Emery worked under Pioli in KC before coming to Chicago.

I don't want a college guy with a gimmick offense. More often than not, college coaches flop badly.
I'm a Redskins fan and admittedly would hate to see Kyle Shanahan depart, but while I don't think our offense is "gimmicky" like some claim, the talents of RGIII do make it unique. I'm hoping that and perhaps the recent history of another young offensive-mind like Josh McDaniels bombing as a head coach will cause teams to be hesitant. And of course, Dan Snyder could just pay Kyle like a head coach to keep him around.
