Sadly, I've started sharing this opinion as well. This was his year to differentiate himself from Martz's system, and Cutler was sacked, what? 3 less times? I agree the talent is poor on the line, but I'm also putting a large portion of it on Tice, his development, and his schemes at this stage.

Not concerned about the Bears interviewing Singeltary. Just being nice to a Bear and helps them meet the Rooney rule.

If they hire him, though.... well.... goodbye, next couple years.

need OL help in Free Agency first and most important. Can't expect 1 1st round pick to turn it around.

Getting Te'o would be really interesting. You won't get talent like that every year at that position

Sign Long, draft Jones starting line

Long, Garza, Jones, Louis (if knee is ok), Carimi/Webb/Scott

Sign another vet right guard or draft one in the 4th round

I'd take that and would like it, but replacing Garza at C to move him to LG isn't our biggest need. Can draft a C in the 4th. Center isn't a position you take with #20 overall. MLB on the other hand would be. Ogletree or Te'o over OG or OC for me with the 1st

that line looks way better because of Long, not Jones

A criminal with no work ethic? You managed to pick the complete opposite of him.

Yeah it better be a courtesy interview. It's amazing how much better SF got when he left.

Its gonna be Singletary.

The great Dan Bernstien said on the Score today that the Bears know who their next coach will be. Hes been dead on as of late, too.

Were you listening to the same radio program that I was the entire day?

Dan made it well known that the interview was just a favor to Singletary.

Singletary being the next Bears Coach is my opinion.

Bernstein said the Bears already know who they want.

So you think it's going to be Singletary despite your guy Bernstein saying that there is no way in hell it is Singletary?

Ok then...

Dan Bernstein is the anti-Ditka and Singletary is and always will be associatied with Ditka. Dont see anything new in that reguard.

But, knowing that the Singletary interview came from above Emery and was demanded by McCaskey says alot to me.

Fire and passion. You cant beat it.

Like you say in the fantasy thread, you should put up or shut up.

Hell, I'll even give you 20 to 1 on it.

There's a big difference between saying "hey, interview an ex-Bear great" and saying "you have to hire him." From EVERYTHING I've seen from the George McCaskey and Ted Phillips, they are going to let Emery run the show and make his own decision. Unless you are going to try to convince me that it was someone "upstairs" who said "Fire Lovie."

It won't be Singletary.

Te'o has lots of talent, is Top2 at his positon this year and is a nice person. Not a criminal. Teammates seem to like him and he is very calm

It's 100% not Singletary.

Emery knows who he wants and if it would be a guy that is free already (- Arians because of this hospital story), he would have announced it or at least would have had a 2nd interview with them/him.

According to every report Singeltary is being interviewed as a favor to him so he can put it on his resume and it can help him get another job and not the Bears HC job.

Emery is interviewing a lot of people because he wants to keep his options open and he wants to see what's out there. He knows this is his first big decision and he wants to get it right. I would rather the Beats go through this then they hired someone after 2 people interviewed in only a matter of hours.

I don't know why anyone would take Bernstein seriously for anything. He makes a living crapping on his callers.
