4th Overall Pick in 2012 Draft

You have the 4th pick in the 2012 Draft

The first 3 picks were Yakupov, Galchenyuk and Murray

Your team is considering either Mikhail Grigorenko or Morgan Rielly

Your team already has the following young Ds - Justin Faulk, Sami Vatanen, Yannick Weber, Raphael Diaz, Dimtry Korobov, Brian Dumoulin, Danny Biega, Nick Jensen, Cam Schilling and Andy Welinski

Your team already has the following young Fs - Gabriel Landeskog, Tyler Ennis, Matt Frattin, Roman Cervenka, Nickilas Jensen, Tyler Toffoli, Zac Dalpe, Luke Adam, Jordan Caron, Teemu Pulkkinen, and Alex Guptill

Who do you take?

Reilly because he's Canadian

In seriousness, its close. Everyone knew Grigs fell too far. They said it then, they say it even more now. Many say he has attitude issues but who knows. When we had 5 I wanted Forsberg to be perfectly honest. But between the 2 you mentioned, I think I'd say Reilly but not by much.

Wait need more info, like how many fans do we attract for each game and their names and disposable incomes as well.

Always draft the best player, I was surprised when Grigorenko dropped to the Sabres.

Yup, only time you draft by need is if its extremely close (like maybe Nate vs Jones)

Agreed on drafting by BPA I just figured I would provide a little background info about this hypothetical team for anyone that needed help making a decision

Both will be great players, IMO. But I voted Grigorenko because all the galchenyuk vs Grigorenko debates between Habs and leaf fans would have been epic

Grigs. I think you need help at centre

Meh, you need D too, I'd flip a coin.

Grigo. Reilly can't even crack the worst defense corp in the league.

So that was the reason he got cut?

LMAO, dude missed a whole year. He's gonna come up once his season in WHL is done. Guy just needed games before making the jump. Highest ceiling in the draft, IMO.

What you are asking makes no sense in context to replying to what I have posted.

That was your reasoning for picking Grigo? Why don't you actually pick a reason that would make some sort of sense here. How does Rielly not cracking in your words "the worst defense corp in the league", validate your choice? You could have stated plenty of other reasons which would have been perfectly acceptable, but that really isn't one of them.

When did I say that it was the reason for picking Grigo, where did I say it validated my choice?

I have no problem with Grigorenko being your choice, I just didn't see how the statement "Reilly can't even crack the worst defense corp in the league" has any relevance in this poll. It was obvious from the get-go that Rielly was going to be sent back to the dub regardless of how he performed at camp anyway.

His reasons are because he wanted Rielly to be an 18 year old stud NHL defenceman like Luke Schenn.

After Zherdev and Filatov I would be hesitant to take Grigorenko.

Probably would go for Trouba or Rielly. Maybe Forsberg. Probably not Teravainen.

If this were for fantasy I'd take Trouba if hits counted.

Real life...Trouba.

Lol or maybe it's better long term to send him down since, you know, he barely played last year.

I remember Giroux playing in the Q as an overager.
