A name to keep your eye out for today... RB Giovani Bernard, UNC. Wouldn't be surprised at all to see Shanny pull the trigger on him.
Oooh. Good call.

why would we pick a RB in the 2nd?

Alf was a pro bowler

Might not be in the second, and depth isn't bad.

Unless they're only doing the second round today. I'm not following the draft actively, it's too damned drawn out.

I'd rather not draft a LB. Still hoping for Banks, Taylor, or Cyprien. Wouldn't mind Da'Rick Rogers and I'm torn on Mathieu.

JUCO player with 1 year of D1 ball that can't run routes. Skins already have 2 WRs like that.
I think some people on twitter and Skins boards were hoping that he would drop.

I think they have to go DB or Safety. Wouldn't object to a LB, but the secondary should be the priority

Bernard is electric. He could flurish in Shanny's offense, and he's dynamic as a PR/KR. He can catch out of the backfield and the reviews on him say his strengths are draws, screens, and one-cut runs; i.e. Shanny's dream.

You also can't expect Bam Bam to carry the rock 300+ times and not get dinged up. His durability was incredible this year but we need someone to take the heat off Alfy.

His film from this year:

I wouldn't mind taking Mathieu with our 3rd if we got Cyprien with our 2nd. If Cyprien or Swearinger are gone, I'd take one of the Thomases or JJ Wilcox in the 3rd and Taylor in the 2nd.

I also won't be upset if we draft Da'Rick Rogers. Really, the only position I don't want to see drafted in the 2nd or 3rd are QB, TE, or OLB. I'm ok with anything else.

Minter gone too.

FAK. I think we need to take an offensive player now. Effed up thing is its RB's that are left. Maybe WR too. I'd be happy with a WR, CB, S, LB, OL, DL

Why does everyone say the Skins should take a WR in the 2nd? Garcon, Morgan, Moss, Hankerson, Robinson and Briscoe are under contract. One of the deepest positions on the team.

BPA. Robinson and Briscoe arent worth mentioning. Morgan and Moss arent long term answers in any capacity.

We get another top WR weapon for RG3? Why not. Outscore them. Keenan Allen is a terrific player

Better than pulling a Dallas and drafting a panic player to fill a need.

The Skins have an 18 mil cap penalty. They don't have the cap room to add post june 1 cuts to fill holes. That means the draft. Sure some current WR's won't be around long term, I think Robinson will, but with all the other holes on this team WR isn't one of them.

And if getting weapons for Griffin is a priority TE is a bigger priority than WR.

S, CB, LB, DL and O-line need depth help now. WR depth upgrades can wait till next year when there is more cap space.

Twitter says a lot of good CB's are still on the board. I smell a possible trade back.

Well the way some on here are quick to fire entire coaching staffs when a team struggles the Skins need to do what they can to maintain their NFC East ranking.

LaVar Arrington announcing the pick? What a jackass.

"My Washington Redskins pick..."

It wasn't your Washington Redskins when you pouted your way to NY, Lavar.

Doesn't have the hips to stay at corner, IMO, but could be a really, really good ball-hawking safety.

I'd move him right away.

Listening to Mel and Todd it looks like the Skins picked MeAngelo Jr. Playmaker, but all over the place in coverage. Big kid though. Said he could be moved to FS. Looking at the clips they showed, he looks like a FS more than a CB. Had 5 INTs last year, but it was a down year. Going into 2012 he was thought to be a mid 1st talent.
