Sweatt just got confused which zone he was in as he seriously tips the puck on Cannata. Not even blocking it, he just literally waved his stick at it as if he was trying to score. Good tools, wish he were a smarter player.

There was no reason for that situation to happen in the first place. Those saves are always going to be tough when the guy is that in close.

Nice goal by Davies on a breakaway as he goes backhand, bar and in.

Davies scores again after an absolutely dominant offensive shift by Davies - Gordon - Archibald. Wrist-shot top corner from the slot.

Damn, this is going fast it seems. The ahl website still hasn't updated with Davies first goal yet.

When Archibald plays like today you can't help but wonder how high his offensive upside is at the NHL level. Dominant down low, perfect reads on the game, crisp passing, etc.

What do you think of his skating (straight ahead speed as well as agility)?

Jensen gets a penalty for holding. Pretty weak call but not undeserved.

When he uses his size to get positioning and keeps his feet moving, it's not as much of a problem. I think he can keep up even in the NHL if he does those two things. But obviously, it never hurts to keep working on it and if he can get it better then he'll have a higher likelihood of making it.

6 points in his last 6 now too.

I remember thinking he had some good instincts offensively when I watched him, and competent without the puck. Good shot too.

Just mentioned on the broadcast that Manny will be with the Wolves tomorrow to work on their face-offs. Sounds like the Canucks have him doing some coaching.

Couple of points

Malhotra apparently to go to Chicago to work with Wolves on face offs

Schneider out with injury. He was playing well enough to keep spot in roster.

I think this is a great idea. Maybe while Malhotra is in Chicago, the Canucks could see if Chris Oddleifson is available. I think he used to live in North Van.

2 to 1 for wolves after first. Both teams are beat after three games in three days. Showing up with some players more than others.

Haydar, Sweatt, Ebbett look bagged. Terrible on PP. Chicago is giving up far too many short handed chances. Arneil needs to revamp it. Had it working with Haydar at the point for awhile but other teams are always looking to pressure up to get chances. Hunt is point man but wearing huge cage which is impeding his ability to see the puck. Other teams best offense often happens against the PP.

Didiomete is actually providing some presence for the team and playing ok. DesBiens is out again and I think you have to suppose he is banged up. Played very bad the other night and was not skating well

We need to see more out of Pinizotto.

Jensen still trying to get in sync with the team. Skating seems fine and you can see he is a good stick handler but not getting the puck much. All the special team play means Jensen and Archibald are not seeing a lot of time.

Was I wrong in thinking that Archibald was getting time on the power play?

Tough goal from the point on Cannata as he had one of the Rockford guys screen him. Needs to battle harder to see that puck since it was just one body.

Cannata seems to be sliding out of position a lot. Giving up a lot room.

IceHogs moving the puck really well this period. Almost like a PP for the last 2 minutes of game-time. A few nice stops by Cannata.

Lost stream. Cannata starting to look better - seems to improve when he gets more shots
