Man, the cornerback market must be really saturated.

It is, and now the bottom has fallen out of FA so the patient teams are gonna be rewarded with some nice pick ups later in the FA period. Long needs to sign so the Tackle market can get set and we'll see a little more action. It's odd that the CB market is really deep, but it's also arguably the deepest position in the draft this year as well.

Dumervil has fired his agent. The guy should be glad that's all that happened after he just cost Dumervil millions.

I wouldn't take Talib signing as judgement on market

Very few were interested in him given his off-field issues

Let's not absolve the Broncos here. They had 2 months to get this done, and waited until simple logistical errors made them have to cut him.

Wasn't he unwilling to take a paycut until recently?

They still gave him a deadline that was pretty close to the real deadline. They should have told him a week ago to either accept the paycut or be cut.

Of course a week ago the market was still in question.

Nnamdi Asomugha left the 49ers without a contract. The Saints are next to get a shot. He might be more apt to reunite with Rob Ryan, given a second opportunity to do so. I just hope that it doesn't mean they release Greer as a result. The market seems saturated enough that they shouldn't need to.

Jim Irsay has tweeted that the Colts are close to making a trade they've been working on for 5 days. Says it's a WR.

He's been full of **** before, so grain of NaCl, but internet speculation is that it could Cruz.

I could see the Seahawks being the trade partner. Cruz seems unlikely.

But who would be the WR leaving? Tate? Obomanu? I don't see them trading Rice. After acquiring Harvin, we could use a 1st round pick again, but the only WR worth a 1st, is Rice.

I could see the Colts trading for DeSean Jackson. Ryan Grigson used to work for the Eagles, and there's been some, but not much, speculation that D-Jack isn't long for Chip Kelly's offense

I'd rather have TY Hilton than Desean Jackson.

That's fine, but I think you'd rather have Jackson over the rest of the wide receivers on the roster.

As a Rams fan, I'm really frustrated with Jake Long.

No, I would not rather have Desean Jackson than Reggie Wayne.

And I brought up Hilton because they profile as similar receivers. So Jackson would take looks away from him.

Well, I figured Wayne was a given.

Obomanu was already cut I think.

Nothing Irsay says suggests it will be a big move, so it could be someone like Doug Baldwin. Rice would make sense too.

Desean Jackson and Reggie Wayne is a great duo for Andrew Luck to throw at

Jackson makes sense as the Eagles of been letting ago of "bad apples" this offseason. But without DeSean, they are awfully thin at WR.

Not sure what Chip would have in mind for a replacement in a top 2 receiver for his offense.

The other guy that might make sense for the Colts is Davone Bess. I don't know if he's available but they have signed a couple WRs so not sure what their plan is for them.

It has to be a slot guy the Colts are looking at, right? Hilton and Wayne are fine on the outside.

IIRC, didn't PFF rate Myers having the worst blocking season by a TE in their history?

I'd doubt it. Payton has mentioned a few times the importance of having 3 good corners now with this being a passing league.
