Agreed, and since Ryan's scheme requires good ability to man-to-man, having a 4 deep corner rotation is important.

I think they'll end up releasing Harper and drafting a replacement.

It has to be a slot guy the Colts are looking at, right? Hilton and Wayne are fine on the outside.
They might look at Hilton as a slot guy, he did a lot of damage there last year. Tough to say, I guess we'll see when/if this deal goes down.

The Raiders last year were god awful with that horrendous zone blocking scheme..
He will be much better in the Giants offence

Packers haven't had a great RB in decades.

Depends on if you mean "great for more than a few seasons"...but Ahman Green did have 1800 yards (lost title to Jamal Lewis's 2000+ season). Green did have some productive years, and was a 4 time pro bowler.

That's what I meant. Green was very good, but didn't sustain it long enough to be considered great, imo.

Green Bay, for the majority of my lifetime has been all about throwing the football..there have been some good RB ( Levens, Bennett, Green, Grant ) but for the time that I've seen them play its been pass happy..

Unless you go back to the Lombardi era when it was Hornung/Taylor..

The longer these guys wait to sign, the more likely they'll get an offer good enough to not leave.

I'm taking the inactivity as a sign that nobody is offering stupid contracts anymore. I'm sure that Indy can still surprise me though.

Saints signed Benjamin Watson for 3 years. Kind of odd.

Saints have no TE depth beyond Graham, who himself has shown a tendency to get hurt. Solid signing.

Yeah, but for 3 years? I'm sure they can cut him with no cap issues, but he's 32.

The final year or 2 are probably solely to get his cap number down this year. I doubt he makes it to the 3rd year.

Tony Gonzalez even signed a 2 year deal.

- Chiefs listening to offers for LT Albert.

- Ravens negotiating with Dumervil. (An upgrade over Kruger, who will likely come cheaper for the same role)

Phil Dawson tweeted he's joining the 49ers. So San Franciso now adds top kicker on the market.

Trying to get younger I would assume? Maybe Dawson just wanted to go to a contender and get a ring before he retires?

Either way the Browns didn't really show much interest in him.

Dolphins logo and a snippet of the Jags' new home jerseys have leaked:

Dolphins logo is almost identical to the one that leaked a few months back. Only difference is there's an eye now and they slightly modified the colors and the sun.

One that leaked today:

Old leaked one:

The new leak looks better than the old one but I still prefer the current one than either of those.

As for the Jags:

(Pic won't come up for some reason. Just click the link.)

This pic looks like a replica and not an authentic. It looks like it has Nike written all over it based on the shoulder stripes. The patch is unnecessary and just makes it look busy, but I'll wait for a full release before grading. Sad they're dropping the teal. Hopefully there's at least a teal alternate.

I doubt there's going to be a teal alternate. Looks like the main colours are going to more black and gold. Khan went with the blacks last year as well. I've always loved the black jerseys more, so I'm happy with the move. He wants a wholesale culture change and establish a new "era" in Jags history, so I doubt we'll see much teal coming Jacksonville way. I love the patch individually, but not sure it fits on the jersey based on what little I saw there.

Bears announced they were unable to sign LB Brian Urlacher and are moving in another direction.
I thought they would find a way to make it work but I guess that isn't going to happen. Stay away Vikings, please stay away.

I don't think Urlacher has much left but this is a bit of a slap in the face:

Quote:
Vaughn McClure @vxmcclure23
Just got off the phone with Brian Urlacher. Said Bears gave him a take it or leave it offer of one-year, $2 million.
Quote:
Mike Freeman @realfreemancbs
What kind of horse's ass would offer Urlacher one year, two mil? Seriously. Who does that?
Bears clearly didn't want him back.
