Exactly.... how many FANS in Baltimore would have been upset by a change in the O's game? Especially when the Ravens offered to make the O's whole... shameful.

I don't get this. Why do the Orioles impact the Ravens? They play in different stadiums.

Down the street from each other

They should just have the Ravens open up SNF.

They should do that. The O's posted their long ago and as last season in the MLB showed, every game is important. No need for the O's to inconvenience themselves when there are alternatives for the NFL and the Ravens.

I don't disagree. I think people are saying that it would just be nice if they worked it out so they can do both games on the same day, but it would mean the Orioles play a double header the next day, because they're not going to play an afternoon game right after traveling the night before

It may be right for the fans of both baseball and football, but it isn't in the best interest of the O's. I really can't say that I blame them.

Of course, they could just move the Thursday night game to Saturday afternoon.

Ravens' road opponents are:

Pittsburgh Steelers
Cleveland Browns
Cincinnati Bengals
Buffalo Bills
Miami Dolphins
Chicago Bears
Detroit Lions
Denver Broncos

Who do you think gets the game? I say Denver, but I agree that the Ravens should open on SNF instead.

Why exactly cant they both play on same day?

Hawks/Cubs/Sox have all played on same day in Chicago before (+ Concerts at Grant Park , bunch of other stuff at same time)

Denver is my guess. Considering what happened in the playoffs, I think that'll be the match up in week 1.

Can't find a link to it now but the other day someone tweeted that the Ravens don't want the game moved from Thursday. They would rather just go on the road on Thursday instead of playing on Saturday or Sunday because this way they'll get 9 days off before they have to play again.

I think it will be Pittsburgh. The NFL doesn't want or isn't supposed to be having teams travel multiple time zones for Thursday games

That won't happen because there are rules on the NFL playing games within so many miles of a college or high school game on the same day. If they could, I'm sure we'd have Friday and Saturday games every week.

Vollmer back to the Pats. At least with the offensive line staying solid, Brady will have plenty of time to not find any wideouts open, since we have none of any value.

They won't voluntarily play a double header.

In the past though, they have rescheduled Marlins games for doubleheaders. But no one cares about the Marlins

I guess it was time, Osi had some great years with the us.

All the best Osi, thanks for the championship years and great service to the Giants.

Being the season opener it's kind of a moot point.

Anyway, there's a Manning Bowl this year which was speculated as the NBC opener.

Maybe as an alternate or new Thanksgiving ones, but Dallas is one of those traditional teams I don't see changing there uniforms.

I mean their "iconic" White ones don't even match ffs and they never even fixed that. Silver helmets with a navy star, royal blue numbers/names with navy sleeve stripes and the pants are like grayish blue.

I think their blue "away" uniforms that they think are bad luck are fantastic. It's a shame they're rarely worn.

LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) -- The Chicago Bears have agreed to a one-year contract with former Carolina Panthers linebacker James Anderson, the latest move in a major overhaul at the position.

To all those Bears fans who wanted change?

Enjoy your dressed sausage.
