It's between Bogosian, Shattenkirk and Fowler. I went with Fowler because I think he'd be the offensive dman on the team after Yandle.

Shattenkirk. He's actually proven to be a reliable offensive d-man that I don't see how he isn't the choice here.

Jeff Petry.

in this poll though, Bogosian, he plays a very defensive game and can contribute. He is harder to play against in front of the net or along the boards. Chris Pronger volume 2.

Voted Bogosian though Shatt is probably higher on depth chart.

Bogosian. Has the speed and physical presence needed and can play a shut down role.

Not even close to Pronger's level.

But at Bogosian's age Pronger wasn't close to what he became later in his career. Bogosian's stats actually look really good compared to Pronger's at the same age.

At age 21 Bogosian had 30 points in 65 games and was -3.

At age 21 Pronger had 25 points in 78 games and was -18.

Most of us rush to rate d-man well before anyone has a clue to what they will develop into.

Petry doesn't belong in this group. Maybe some day, but he's older, and already behind a lot of these D.

I gotta say honestly though, we joke about Trouba and Jones but really you never know.

The games are over a full year away.

Nobody knew who Ryan McDaongh was a year ago. He's now ranked 3rd.

Personally, I would have both Shattenkirk and Bogosian over both Johnsons, with Fowler rounding out the D.
