The Ugly Moose. Apparently there's some spot in Northern Liberties too, but Slim is loyal to his Manayunk eateries.

I have personally won four "who can eat the hottest wings?" style contests in my life. I could not be more proud. One time my friend at a restaurant made me special, insanely hot wings claiming I couldn't eat them. I finished all six and got the waitress's number that night even though my face was covered in buffalo sauce sixty percent of the time. The next morning I had to skip two classes to sit on the toilet and take painful diarrhea.
Worth it?

Bottle of something called "Hot Chilli Sauce" in my kitchen cupboard.

Makes no difference to anything I put it in regardless of how much I put in.

I feel everyone else's pain here. These are tough times, and cable is seen as more of a luxury item than a necessity, especially with rising cable fees. It costs 100 bucks per month for cable here. Why in the ****ing world would I pay 400 or 500 bucks to watch 16 weeks of football? If I had cable, I'd just watch the games, Travel Channel, and CNN. That's it.

The "cutting cable" issue has a lot more to do with non-sports, and you could really get into an in-depth conversation about the stupid cable companies raising fees and how much useless **** is on cable like "Honey Boo Boo". For many of us, it is simply not a viable option to pay the cable man for 100 or 200 channels which most of us will never watch.

It really irks me, because I remember the old days. I remember the old time ABC BCS music, I remember the Rose Bowl, I remember Keith Jackson. But the old days aren't coming back. We are facing a new world order where TV companies are keen to shift major events to cable, and it started with MNF. Again, the alleged defense of these actions is because it will appeal more to the younger generation. But the younger generation is cutting the cable more and more! So how does that make sense?

I hope that we will go back to major games on ABC Sports, or mainstream television. But at the rate we are going, the Super Bowl will be on cable in a few decades. OTA television will be killed. We head towards a very dangerous direction in terms of sports programming, and I hope some have the logic and reason to stop this massive shift.

Edit: It should also be noted that MNF had pretty low ratings this year on ESPN. MNF would unquestionably have better ratings on ABC, yet the geniuses decided to move MNF to a network less people have. I'll never understand that logic.

Wish you could pay for channels a la carte. Would happily pay far more per channel if I could avoid all thet other crap.
