Tell you what, let's make a deal, I got some nice sauces down here on the cheap and you got things up there that I need cheap:

2 of each of those for some..

Deal??

This stuff is good...They have it at Chipoltes restaurants around here...Decent amount of heat, and a lot of flavor as well...I mean a lot of flavor - Smokey Boldness is how I would describe it.

Thanks for the advice...I'll warm him before he tries it.....I want to try it too though.....I think the hottest I ever had was a 7 out of 10 - it was that hot sauce called "The Hottest F**' in Sauce You Ever Had".......And all I could do was dab that on my finger...Too hot for me to use as a general topping....

I'm curious how much to try with Daves' ? A match head amount ? Or maybe less ?

If it is super super hot I will like that too because then I will use it to make XXX wings (as an additive) for my wing customers

My Walmart's grocery section is tiny. All they have now is Frank's, Tabasco, and their store brand. They are expanding the store though, so I'll definitely check for it when they're done.

UPDATE ON DAVE'S INSANITY SAUCE:

Well I let my friend try it...he seemed fine with it...So I put a small sample on a straw end, and tasted it...Seemed fine...hot but not too crazy....So I fingered dabbed it out of the bottle....I was OK with that as well......Heat is kinda a creeper heat, and hangs around a while......

I then made an order of wings...I made around a dozen.....First I deep fried them good and made them x-crispy.....

Here is the sauce I used: BBQ sauce, small amount of liquid butter, some cayenne pepper sauce, and 1 & 1/2 cap fulls of Dave's Insanity....

I shook them in a container then I grilled them on the char-broiler....Took them off the char-broiler shook them again in the container to get the rest of the sauce in there on the wings....

I was fine with the heat....My lips got that numb feeling...They tasted real good as well.....It did kinda feel like I had a stomach ache though....I think either I ate too fast, or maybe it was the amount of Dave's I used ?

The good life:

Eating grocery-store-made subs peppered with light drippings of Frank's Red hot, with Lay's Potato Chips on the side, while watching Anthony Bourdain's The Layover Miami episode on Travel Channel HD

Damn

Feels good

Anyway, lavish lifestyle aside, the hot sauce really did add a little bit of a kick to the sub, but not too much

I was scared I was going to bite into something with hot sauce and my mouth would get on fire or something, it's actually not that bad. A little kick is good

Will be putting hot sauce on food from now on

Get yourself a bottle of Sriracha, Valentina, Tabasco Chipotle, El Yucateca green. Those are good starters. Not too hot but they taste good.

I don't know what kind of sub you're putting hot sauce on, but for Italian ones, this is good. Get some olive oil and put a bunch of red pepper flakes, a bit of granulated garlic and dried Italian seasoning. Let it sit for a few days before. Also use chiles in your food too. Chipotle in adobo is great with chicken and pork, stuffed hot peppers, jalapeños on a burger, jerked chicken, stuff like that.

My max is usually 5-6 bucks, depending on the size of the bottle.

I pay $6.49 for a Bottle of Dave's around here but you don't dose your food with it...I measure by the cap full so it lasts a while.

Every grocery store carries Sriracha... however, it's the most overrated thing ever. Look for a fire roasted Indian hot sauce. Those are the best you can find in a bottle, IMO.

It might be separate from the other hot sauces, I've seen it in the 'Asian Foods' section of some grocery stores.

Just tried Sriracha for the first time tonight....meh....I think it is a hot sauce more made for oriental food as it has that sweetness to it....I don't think it could be my everyday go to hot sauce. Heat seemed relatively weak too - 2.5 out of 10 ?

I need some opinions.

I like my hot sauce at room temp, but my dad likes to throw it in the fridge. I find cold hot sauce to be gross. What do you prefer?
