Stabbing Spree On Texas Campus

Further proof that gun control doesn't work: 14 people stabbed at Lone Star College, all dead...

Oh, wait:

Quote:
Twelve people were rushed to area hospitals after an attack on the campus of Lone Star College Cy-Fair in northwest Harris County. Two other people were treated for minor wounds at the scene in the 9900 block of Barker Cypress.

...

Six victims were taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital — four by Life Flight helicopters and two by ambulance. Two of them were in critical condition and three were in good condition, at last check. One patient was discharged after treatment.

North Cypress Medical Center confirms that they received six patients, but all were treated and released.

I hope all the victims pull through.

What a nutjob. Hope he enjoys Texas prison.

I don't feel safe anymore. We need to take away some rights or enact laws so I feel better. We can start by doing background checks on people who want to use whatever type of knife this guy used. I don't know anything about knives but I know we need something done by government.

Relevance? Point being rampages are much less deadly when guns aren't used... so why not restrict gun ownership?

Nobody cares whether you feel better. It's about saving human lives. Are you capable of that kind of empathy?

Not really. He's a rightie, so he's using this incident to ridicule the push for gun control. Except the obvious difference is that in this mass stabbing nobody died, whereas in mass school shootings, lots of people die. And, of course, knives are used for numerous other useful purposes, while guns have no other utility aside from killing.

Your hope will be unfulfilled. And unfortunately that particular tidbit wasn't even close to extreme when compared to some of the other offerings from that poster.

No you weren't. You were ridiculing people who want more restrictive gun laws.

Wouldn't you think that if you were a Second Amendment type person and you saw a news item about a rampage in which a gun wasn't used and no one was killed, you'd avoid the topic like the plague because it undermines your argument? I guess gun rights people don't have that kind of common sense.

Sure thing TesseracT. I've experienced enough of your work in here.

But please, do share your thoughts on gun control.

This place may be more left than right.

The phrase "leftist hell hole" sure suggests you're nowhere near the center though.

Why do they need sense? Thinking is for sissies. Acting is what guns are for.

You're right because no one ever survives a gunshot and everyone survives getting stabbed. Hell, everyone who gets shot is dead in an instant while those who get stabbed never gets into a life-threatning moment.
